My offer of help to any sole trader or small business.....

These times are challenging for us in countless ways and I've been trying to think of a way that I might be able to help or contribute.

I was just checking on one of my friends to see how she was doing and we ended up having a brainstorming session on how she could contribute to the global community and also possibly earn an income at the same time. It was a great chat and we ended the conversation both feeling inspired.

So this is what I would like to offer to anyone out there who is a small business or sole trader. If you think you have a skill that could be transferable to an online platform but you are unsure of how to start, where to start or if it is even possible I would like to offer you my time and experience for FREE ADVICE on innovation, e-learning, marketing, online strategy, product development, social media strategy and website creation.

Beautiful Words! ❤️

NONE OF US ARE IMMUNE

It’s going to be okay.
It really is.

We will face this situation together with love, humour and patience.
We will weep together, we will laugh together.
We will discover togetherness in our apartness.

And the worst of it will end one day.
And we will have learned so much by then.

We will now be called to face very difficult feelings inside of us.
Fear. Grief. The loss of an old way of life. Our devastated plans.
We will learn to face ourselves. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
Nowhere to go except within.

A sacred quarantine.

We will learn to face our boredom. Our restlessness. The part of us that wants to be somewhere else, with someone else, doing something else, having some other experience, in some other Now, living in some other life.
We will let go of the wonderful future we had planned.
We will let the fantasy future die, release it, and grieve it.
We will return to the solidity and warmth of the present.

We will make the present into our home.
We will begin again, here, build a new house on new soil.
We will explore a new way of life.
Strange, at first. But full of possibility.
Slower. Kinder. Quieter.

We will talk to each other honestly about death, and life, and impermanence, and how we feel about all the changes that have come to us and our loved ones.
We will learn to value life a little more.
Yes, perhaps we will learn to value life a little more.

And live with our hearts cracked slightly open to the elements.
And lean into uncertainty, and find our salvation there.

None of us are immune to change.
To rupture. To the shattering of old, familiar forms.
This is the way of things, this has always been the way of things.

From this perspective, nothing has gone wrong.
Crisis simply means “turning point”, and none of us are immune from the turning.

The breaking of the old makes way for the birth of new.
It has always been this way.

Love. Humour. Patience. With these things, we will come through.
Stronger than before. Renewed. Ready.

I hope everyone is taking a moment to enjoy some time to themselves this holiday?

I would like to thank everyone for their support this year and to wish you all a wonderful 2020.

To set the tone for my new year, I would like to share a few wonderful words from Jeff Foster. These words have inspired me to do more things that I enjoy doing. Dancing, singing, exploration (self-inquiry and Ireland! ), falling in love.. with people and the moment, visit more friends, hug more people, climb more mountains, paint, express myself more and be courageously vulnerable!

Do it - or let it be done - the thing for which your heart has always been waiting.

What is the risk? Losing everything? Then lose everything. The experience of failure? Then experience failure, taste it, find a new kind of success within in. Rejection? Then open up to the glory of rejection, open your heart wide to the ones who reject you, see their pain and forgive them for it. Ridicule? Then fall in love with those voices of ridicule, seeing them as your beloved new-borns, your own voices in need of kind attention.

Nothing to lose, expect perhaps your imaginary pride, your rightened ego which secretly longs to burn in the furnace of living anyway..... "

My bank reminded me today that I have been a registered business for 1 whole year as of today!!

I can't quite believe that it's been so long already. The direction of what I have and want to do has changed so much since I started out a year ago and my path is becoming ever more clear. I feel grateful that I am able to work to live and not live to work.

My work life balance is great!

And to top it all off, I have had the great pleasure of working for some absolutely fantastic people - all guided by passion, dedication and energy.

This is what my life seems to be like right now with work. Managing a few projects, managing businesses and organising itineraries. I LOVE it! I believe I have not made a mess of things - maybe a cracked egg here and there :D
