The inspiration behind piece #30: necklace with Prehnite, Chrysoprase & Moonstone.
I draw a lot of my inspiration from nature and the feeling I get being in it.
I go to the Island of Ufenau often. I can juuuust see it from my living room window. Sometimes I go by paddleboard. Sometimes I go by boat.
It belongs to the monastery in Einsiedeln and there’s a fabulous restaurant on it that makes me feel like I’m worlds away from my daily life.
The water is like a caribbean sea. And this summer it feels like it too. The chrysoprase beads mimic our lake so perfectly. I feel a sense of peace by simply looking at them and sparking the memory of the water.
I had the pleasure of joining Natalie & some friends there for a lovely dinner. She wore her new necklace with her sage green dress and looked simply STUNNING 🤩.
As the maker of these wearable artworks, I always feel like they look faaaar more wonderful on another person than they do on me. (Typical artist 😅)
