A Chef's Kiss. So it happens that one of our latest projects at Journee - Digital at Ease centers on a delicious lobster rolls pop-up at Hotel St. Gotthard in Zürich. Our job: to make this pop-up POP!

Juicy pieces of lobster meat in a home-made buttery bun already sounds mouth watering so, what could we bring to the table? Guidelines for an integrated marketing strategy with a core focus on digital, a curated audience targeting, planning and delivery of a social media campaign aimed to spice it all up.

The result of this team work: they are selling like hotcakes ... sorry, rolls!

A most delightful collaboration with the team at Hotel St. Gotthard and, of course, everyone in the kitchen and on the service side.

Due to high demand the pop-up turned into a summer hit - the team will keep rolling all summer long. A must try when one's in a mood for comfort-food.

Well, we are still 2 but .digital is 3 years old this summer! Applying sometimes method, sometimes madness, shedding some skins while also learning new tricks, laughing and crying our way through these past years, this August finds us ready for year 4.

Buffett’s quote gets to the heart of a surprisingly challenging dilemma we all struggle with: to asses the value of the things we buy rather than the price we pay for such.

As a business owner the dilemma doesn’t stop here - establishing the price to charge for our products/services is yet again very difficult. Even when we establish it based on data (costs, market benchmarks, etc) it still fears jittery.

🧐 What if I am asking too much?
😖 What if I wont be able to sustain my business by asking less?
🤔 What if I will be perceived as “cheap”?
😵‍💫 What if I will lose client opportunities because of my higher rates?

What’s next? Some questions to ask yourself as a small business owner re your website - to evaluate if it is still “alive” 🕵️‍♀️

〰️ do I have any visitors?

〰️ do I visit my website enough?

〰️ does this version of the website still represent me & my business?

〰️ is my website leveraging social proof?

〰️ do I push “products/services” or solutions /outcomes/transformations?

Websites are not a one-off project. They become better if you treat them as a living-breathing entity 🤍

Some ideas to start:

✔️ “Check on” your website every now on then - still loading, looking good on mobile, reacting fast enough?

🎙️Talk about your website with every occasion - in person, online, on social.
