Procedural Drawing
This is PenPen, our new drawing app where every stroke is animated. Basically Illustrator on L*D. Works in your browser, on tablet or desktop. Try, like, share, tell your friends, subscribe or become a sponsor to make PenPen move even more. ❤️
Since every stroke can be loop-animated, interesting effects can be created through intentional speed, spacing, and stroke length. Here, rotating each stroke creates a sense of three-dimensionality.
Every stroke parameter can be animated. Like stroke width here.
Unlike regular drawing, time suddenly becomes a constant part of the process.
Stroke animation speed can be changed anytime. The app automatically finds the perfect loop, within your timeframe.
Animation and drawing happen simultaneously in PenPen, while everything can still be fine-tuned later.
The Timing Ring in the “Draw Erase” window gives you full control over how a stroke appears, stays, disappears, and how long it remains hidden.
The stroke style can also be adjusted anytime. Try it out! And if you see anything we could improve, let us know. We appreciate any feedback!
