How will mankind tackle the challenges of civilisation ? On a more personal scale, how does one achieve his goals ? Pursue his dreams ? Break the patterns of life and innovate ? We live in a world of constant change, where technology has overtaken our daily lives and does not cease to spread it's influence on every one of us. Our footprint on planet Earth has significantly increased, and the race

to save our oceans and ice continents has begun. This year's topic is themed around "Horizon". Organized by our very own Rosey students, TEDx Institute Le Rosey will be a day filled with inspiration and innovative ideas with talks from speakers such as Walter Harris, Eden Chen, and others. In addition of brilliant guests, three of our students will participate in this year's conference, addressing subjects from a variety of topics based on our main theme. We are very pleased to be welcoming you for the fifth consecutive year, and can't wait for Saturday!

Amongst our speakers, we will be welcoming Alexis McGiven,
a renowned conservationist, she is currently working as a Program Manager for Swiss-based Gallifrey Foundation and seconded to IUCN’s Global Marine and Polar Program. Her expertise is devoted towards matters of sustainable development, as well as marine conservation.

Alexis McGiven seeks to create a zero plastic society, whilst leaving a lasting impact on not only her local community, but also the wider international sphere.

Cedric Cassimo is a visual artist of many talents. He is a composer and a songwriter whose music can be found in a number of theatre productions around the UK and Switzerland. In addition, Cedric is an experienced designer who has, for many years, worked in the advertising industry.

Cedric Cassimo is one of very few artists around the world who has brilliantly mastered the captivating sand art. An art form he discovered in his 5 years living in London.

In 2014, Eden Chen launched a web and app development company, Fishermen Labs. His company also works with recent technologies such as the virtual and augmented realities.
