A friend of mine, an architect, pointed out to me that there are no aesthetically pleasing toilet signs. This led to the idea of starting an online shop for toilet signs to present the world with beautiful aluminium toilet signs.

Since April of this year I live mostly in Berlin and study Design Thinking at the d.School of the Hasso Plattner Institute. I would like to offer workshops and trainings in Design Thinking in the new year, because I am convinced of the method and see potential for projects with a new perspective in different areas.

With a small team, we have developed a tailor-made application for Sonnweid, which optimises and digitalises internal processes: the food requests of each inhabitant now reach the kitchen digitally, where a personalised meal card is created. The kitchen then uses this to create an individual plate.

The application is used intensively and we are continuously expanding it with new functions such as repair reports, event organisation or internal communication.

The new website for Sonnweid, a care home for people with dementia, should be simple, personal and flexible. The comprehensive content informs the visitors, pictures and videos provide insights into the institution.

Today is World Alzheimer's Day.

There's no better moment to launch the new website of the Sonnweid, a unique care home for people with dementia. Coincidentally it was founded by the best dad in the world over 30 years ago. This makes it to an affair of my heart and I think we can all be proud of the result.
