Our “Pacific Marks” collection explores the remarkable traces left behind by mollusks boring into stone 🪨

As the fragile rocks break away and soften over time, they become unusually light – inspiring a series of nature-inspired art prints in which the stones appear to float above the paper.

Visual Identity for Omé 🩶

For the Swiss label Omé, we developed a visual identity that reflects its combination of elegance, sustainability and conscious design.

The brand creates hair accessories from fabrics sourced from renowned haute couture houses, giving existing materials a new life as distinctive, high-quality pieces.

At the heart of the identity is a custom icon developed directly from the typography.

Its form recalls a clasp or ribbon, while its soft, almost heart-like shape adds warmth and approachability.

The symbol also became the foundation for a flexible graphic pattern system across packaging and printed materials.

A clear and timeless identity designed to translate Omé’s philosophy into a strong visual presence.

How does a shell become a design? 🐚

For our “Pacific Settler” collection, we researched American mollusk species and visited museums to study their shapes, structures and remarkable diversity.

Among them are rock-boring mollusks – small creatures able to slowly shape the stone around them as they grow.

Yet the shells themselves are often easily overlooked when found along the shore.

A friend once said shells mostly remind her of cutting her feet on the beach.

We wanted to look closer.

From collected references and digital experiments to colour studies and print tests, we translated their intricate forms into a balanced series of five designs.

Soft coral tones reference the organic body of the mollusks, while turquoise blue connects the collection back to the sea.

A glimpse into the creation of “Pacific Settler”.

Natural sculptures shaped by life in the intertidal zone 🐚

These fascinating mollusks settle into tiny crevices and use their sharp, ridged shells to drill into wood, slate or chalk. As they grow, they gradually enlarge the cavity until they become safely enclosed within their stony dwellings.

After their life cycle ends, they leave behind unique stone sculptures defined by smooth hollows and perfectly formed holes.

These remarkable traces of marine life are captured in our “Pacific Settlers” collection 🌊
