L’alcool n’est plus intouchable.

En quatre ans, 830 milliards de dollars de valeur ont disparu des grandes entreprises mondiales de bière, vin et spiritueux. 📉

Même les géants vacillent.

Symbole fort : Jim Beam, marque de bourbon vieille de 230 ans, a stoppé sa production sur son site historique pour toute l’année 2026 - une première.

Pourquoi ce choc ?

👉 les jeunes boivent moins, surtout la génération Z
👉 la consommation d’alcool est à son plus bas niveau historique
👉 plus d’un Américain sur deux considère désormais que même boire modérément est mauvais pour la santé
👉 montée du bien-être, des cocktails sans alcool, du cannabis
👉 effets indirects des médicaments type GLP-1 qui réduisent l’envie d’alcool

Résultat : surproduction massive, stocks bloqués pendant des années, chute des capitalisations de Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Rémy Cointreau et un secteur longtemps « anti-crise » forcé de se réinventer.

Le vrai tournant n’est pas économique, il est culturel.

Dear all,

We hoped to welcome you soon for the 12th edition of the KAMER REGGAE FESTIVAL (KAREF), but a succession of events force us to postpone the festival.

1. On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, YAGA YOGO Association, KAREF advertiser, lost in sudden circumstances, an executive member of its organization. It is in unison and in absolute tranquility that we hope to pay tribute to her.

2. We were unable to obtain within the required time, security guarantees from our partners (City Hall of Douala 4th, National Navy Army) for the proper conduct of our festival.

In recent years, we have integrated the campsite as a flagship activity of our festival, and the event takes place on an ecological site by the river. These peculiarities make KAREF an unprecedented and special event offer in the tropics.

It is therefore with great sadness that we announce the postponement of the KAMER REGGAE FESTIVAL to next year. We would like to reassure you that this decision in consultation with the municipality was not taken lightly and is part of a case of force majeure.

• Your safety remains our top priority.

All agreements, selections and accreditations obtained with us remain valid for next year's edition.

We are already making every effort to make this next edition a memorable event, up to your expectations and loyalty.

We understand your disappointment and share your frustration at this situation beyond our control.

This is an opportunity to announce that KAREF will now take place in March of each year, and not in December, as has been the case for 14 years in 11 editions. The 12th edition will therefore take place in MARCH 2025!

We would like to thank you for your understanding and support.

• Your enthusiasm is our greatest motivation to bounce back and offer you an unforgettable experience next year.
