Last week at 🇨🇲, we organize an intensive hands-on workshop on and programming of the with the students, with the aim to turn weather data into action by providing real-time decentralized data, then real-time prediction of the 12hour rain forecasts of Douala city.
During the one-week workshop, we work on:
1- Coding the TME edu board to collect and visualize the data( Temperature, Light_Intensity, Potentiometer values) through the Node-Red dashboard, then send the data over to the through The Things Network.
2- Installation and Configuration of the at Enset university of Douala and at located at Dibamba- Cameroon 🇨🇲.
3- Setting up and mounting of the S2120 SenseCap LoRaWan 8 in 1( )and S2101 temperature-humidity( ) from Seeed Studio, then connects the to the via The Things Network.
4- Trip to Dibamba with the university students to to install the Weather Station, LoRa_GateWay, and launch the hydrogen-inflated weather balloon 🎈 into Space, The weather data can be visualized in real-time here: https://lnkd.in/eY6H5Y-K.
5- Turning the weather data collected after the launching into action by sending the data to and Telos platform for real-time prediction and generation of .
6-We had a special Guest and supporter from who came to share and inspire us on the importance of weather data and also how to generate coins with the data we collect.
6- Certificate distribution to all the participants.
The workshop was soo rich indeed, went successfully and all the participants were satisfied with the training and gain new skills on and how to use it in various fields to solve problems we face in our community.
