Why sometimes dtf doesn't work on dark or black shirts? Below is some idea from me, I don't know if this is full correct, are there someone know?

The acronym "DTF" stands for "Direct-to-Fabric" printing, which is a digital printing process that involves printing directly onto fabric using specialized printers and inks.

One of the reasons why DTF may not work well on dark or black shirts is that the inks used in the process may not be opaque enough to show up clearly on a dark background. DTF ink tends to be translucent, meaning that the color of the fabric can affect the appearance of the printed design. So if the ink is not sufficiently opaque, the color of the fabric can bleed through the ink and make the design look muted or washed out.

Another reason is that some DTF printers may not have the ability to print white ink, which is necessary for printing on dark or black fabric. Without white ink, the printer can't create a light base layer to print colors on top of, which is needed for the colors to show up vividly on dark fabric.

To address these issues, some DTF printers have been developed that use white ink to enable printing on dark fabrics. However, it's still important to note that DTF printing on dark or black shirts may not produce the same vibrant and opaque results as printing on light-colored fabric.
