It's weird to realize that money is not everything that drives you, and what makes you happy is your children and you having a wonderful time on the weekend. Turns out money can't really buy that.

However, having the business that supports you and your financial goals is absolutely important to living this life unless you have a trust fund, or wealthy parents, etc.

It is definitely a matter of choice, and if this is the life that you choose, let us help you to move in the direction of your dreams.

Because nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the excited screams and yells of your children when they are having the time of their lives doing something for free together.

I am so sorry about the hallelujah trend, it's bothering me because it basically passes off the success of an online post to Jesus/God.

Let's be serious. These are human beings that are mimicking these posts and doing their due diligence to being relatable to other human beings. It helps to understand from a marketing perspective when you own your own businesses.

We know what needs to happen when your business needs to thrive. You must think about your ideal customer and how they find you, and we are absolutely the best at that! No disrespect to Jesus but he's got his hands full.

The only thing that is going to get us out of this economical mess the next 6 months is people connecting with people. If you feel like this is something that you want to do, please reach out to us at [email protected].

I prefer intentions, and perhaps just trying a little bit harder than before.

Allow me to introduce myself to my new people, and because it has been a hot minute...

My name is Sunshine and I run Switchblade Media, which was born out of my desire to be able to write and help businesses communicate effectively.

When my first son was born 13 years ago, I knew that I could not re-enter the corporate world and put him in daycare. We would barely be able to afford the daycare, and I felt like I would miss out on him growing up, so I started my agency during the day with my infant son in my lap while I bartended at night.

I will forever be grateful to the people who supported me at the beginning of this business. Having a new baby, working late nights, pumping breast milk in the restaurant bathroom standing up, and then building building building during the day with my son was a challenge to say the least.

It got me to where I wanted to be, which was to work independently, and to raise my children and family in Costa Rica. It was certainly not overnight, but it was my goal, and I wasn't going to stop until I had achieved it

We have lived in Costa Rica for 9 years, and I have raised both of my sons in an environment that is so free, beautiful, and nurturing that it makes all of the hardships disappear.

We have just recently expanded Switchblade into Latin America, Canada, and soon to be Europe! This is an amazing time for us, and the projects that we are helping are clients with are incredible. I will be sharing more here as we move along!

It is difficult to run a business, ( or multiple businesses) when you are creatively tapped out, also known as burnout.

Unintentionally, I have begun walking everyday and have been surprised to see how much I enjoy the trees and the flowers and the animals that I come across.

In these walks, I begin to think about ideas for myself and for my clients. I find that I need less technology and more nature to think about people and marketing and selling, and what we all really need right now.

So as a business owner with three companies, what do I recommend for people that are so tired and burned out right now?
Go outside, take a walk, and listen without a podcast or a playlist.

It will be awkward at first, but the ideas will flood into your head. The uninterrupted headspace will allow you to reset your brain and to begin to think clearly and without prejudice. This is the alliance between marketing and sales- to begin to understand how your audiences are feeling right now.

Some experiences immediately become core memories.

In a world filled with digital *everything* sometimes the simplist moments are the most profound and beautiful.

No matter the age, we see so many of our guests with the same expression of awe on their faces when they wander around our farm and the Lodge. So much pure joy, and harmony exist when you unplug from the news, and reconnect with natural experiences and human companionship.

Thank you to everyone who reached out to us for the English version of this project!

We didn't want to overwhelm with all the text, but clearly it deserved its own post.

This entire project (in English and Spanish) was turned around in less than 48 hours for our client. Today this is a thriving small business in TWO small jungle beach towns in Costa Rica!

Sharing some marketing assets that we created for a start up Uber Eats-style business down here in Costa Rica.

This was a rush job, with the objective being to get motorcycle delivery drivers to join up, and local restaurants and grocery stores to to be vendors.

I'm very proud of my team; they worked very hard, and quickly to meet this goal, and launch this business!
