12 Mayıs’ta Lefkoşa’da düzenlenen etkinlikte, genetik ıslahın çiftlik kârlılığına katkısı ve sürdürülebilir üretim modelleri ele alındı.
Veri ve inovasyonla desteklenen Koyun & Keçi Islah Programı, eunite Programı kapsamında Sustainable Food Systems Ireland ile iş birliğiyle uygulanıyor.
Amaç:
• Daha verimli ve yerel koşullara uyumlu hayvanlar
• Çiftlik düzeyinde artan kârlılık
• Sektörün uzun vadeli sürdürülebilirliği
Ortak vizyon: Üreticiye ekonomik getiri, tüketiciye kaliteli süt ürünleri, çevreye sürdürülebilir sonuçlar.
Etkinlikte yerel kurum temsilcileri, uzman veteriner hekimler, danışmanlar ve küçükbaş hayvan üreticileri yer aldı.
🇪🇺 eunite Programı, Kıbrıs Türk toplumuna yönelik Avrupa Birliği Yardım Programı tarafından finanse edilmekte ve GIZ International Services tarafından yürütülmektedir.

🇪🇺 A new era begins for the sheep and goat sector in the Turkish Cypriot community! 🐑🐐
On May 12 in Nicosia, the event highlighted how genetic improvement contributes to farm profitability and supports sustainable production models.
📊 The Sheep & Goat Breeding Program, powered by data and innovation, is implemented under the eunite Program in collaboration with Sustainable Food Systems Ireland.
Goals:
• More efficient and locally adapted animals
• Increased farm-level profitability
• Long-term sustainability of the sector
Shared vision: economic gains for producers, high-quality dairy products for consumers, and sustainable outcomes for the environment.
The event brought together local institutions, expert veterinarians, advisors, and sheep & goat farmers.
🇪🇺 The eunite Programme is funded by the EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community and implemented by GIZ International Services.
