Someone lands on your website right now. They don't read everything. They ask one silent question and leave if the answer isn't immediate.
That question is: "Is this for me?"
Not "is this person qualified?" Not "what are their prices?" Those come later, if they stay long enough to find out.
The first thing a potential client does on your website is look for themselves. They scan for a word, a phrase, a description that makes them think "yes, this is exactly what I'm dealing with."
If they don't find it in the first few seconds, they leave. Not because you're not the right person for them. Because your website didn't make that clear fast enough.
I see this constantly with coaches, therapists, and nutritionists who have a genuinely great offer but a homepage that talks about their methodology, certifications, and journey. All valuable things. But not what a stranger needs to see first.
What a stranger needs to see first is themselves. Does your website make your ideal client feel seen in the first 5 seconds? Take 3 minutes to find out π
