Day 17: Kaana 🐊

Straight is overrated! Kimya Gandhi Keller’s newest display typeface for Devanagari & Latin, constructed entirely from straight lines, sharp corners, and triangular cuts. It started with the Devanagari, then the same visual logic was carried into a Latin companion (mostly by Pranavi Chopra and Rob). Not every aa-matra has to be straight either: OpenType stylistic sets swap in zigzag alternates on demand. Comes loaded with icons too: kites, crocodiles, pineapples, and more still growing.

Currently in beta, you can get one weight now, but way more on the way! (All future updates are free.)

Day 16: Mota Pixel 👾

Started as a small, simple pixel font. Grew into a full-blown monster: 3 weights x 37 layer styles each, for 114 total font files. Every one packs 3,708 glyphs, tons of dingbats (pixel monsters, pizza slices, and way more), 15 different sets of numbers, and just about every OpenType feature you could want. Licensed under SIL Open Font, so you can do almost anything with it.

Oh, and it’s completely free.

Day 15: Interchange 🔀

A variable superfamily built for one job: looking great at every size. Interchange Micro handles the tiniest text with wide, open, low-contrast shapes. Interchange Text steps up for comfortable reading at 9-18pt. Then Interchange Display flips the whole personality: tight spacing, extreme contrast, hairline thins, and odd proportions in “Title” and “Poster” sizes for maximum drama.

Day 14: Lini 🌷

Kimya Gandhi Keller’s super condensed Devanagari & Latin design, proud in its own skin: not too skinny, not too tall, just exactly itself. A big x-height with short ascenders & descenders makes it stackable, great for punchy headlines, and perfect for film credits. Some of the vertically stacked Devanagari conjuncts are inspired from old Jain manuscript styles. There are currently 5 weights and it’s still growing (and will soon be the final version). Get this award winning* design now!

Day 13: Show Me the Mono ✨

Monospaced fonts used to mean typewriters, now they mostly mean code, but there’s no reason they can’t be everywhere. Every letter locked to the exact same width, giving your text a funky rhythm and texture. Big speckly dots on the i’s, j’s, and punctuation add funky character (or you can dial it down if that’s too much salsa for you). SMtM is loaded with enclosed letters, 76 arrows, and 300+ emojis & extras.

(Oh, and the Regular weight is completely free.)

Day 12: Fit Devanagari ⚡️

Kimya Gandhi Keller’s companion to David Jonathan Ross ’s groundbreaking variable Latin design, built to fill any space with maximum impact. Ten widths stretch and squeeze by an average of 3600%, from ultra compressed to ultra expanded, all anchored by consistent white negative space slicing through the letters. Hundreds of Devanagari conjuncts packed in too, somehow still legible even at the extremes. Fit has been used since its release by several brands, movie posters, brand identities! The question is what will you make with Fit Devanagari?
