This series of illustrations are part of a drawing challenge among friends.

A friend suggested doing a drawing challenge for fun. And what happened in the next few weeks was something I didn't imagine. The challenge forced me to find the joy in my art practice again. A joy i had lost in the whirlwind of job searches, creating a portfolio, being the capitalist idea of productive, and struggling to take care of myself in the pitch dark winter of Berlin.

Paint markers on brown paper have an interesting effect. It is forgiving with the multiple colour layers to achieve shadow effects.

This almost feels like a journal entry.
I started doodling on the right hand side experimenting with a new style after watching folklore series. And then just kept doodling whatever came into my head.

My favourite vegetable deserves a place on the timeline. A little late to the trend, but paint markers are soo cool. These paint markers from have quickly shot up to the top to become my current favorite art medium. They might stay on the top for a while. I love them!!

The colour saturation is brilliant. The colours look even better when photographed in yellow light.
