Formerly known as Rawtee, Jōhatsu releases handprinted garment and share profits with mental health resources. With a background in filmmaking, I've been screen-printing for over 15 years as a means of supporting myself when I was not working on set. In 2009, I started Rawtee, a webzine/label about screen-printing and graphic T-shirts. While struggling with depression, screen-printing became a form of therapy, providing the freedom to create without constraints. Now with Jōhatsu, I aim to help others facing similar challenges by sharing profits with mental health resources

Jōhatsu (蒸発) is a Japanese term meaning ‘evaporation,’ often used to describe people who intentionally disappear to escape personal struggles or societal pressures, vanishing as if they were never there. Naming the brand Jōhatsu was intentional; it represents the act of stepping away from an old life and beginning again with a clear purpose

Kopfkino – Literally “head cinema.” When your mind starts rolling like a film, playing out vivid scenes, possibilities, and what-ifs. As a filmmaker, Kopfkino is probably my favourite release from the serie.

Organic, sustainable, and made to last. Hand-printed in Berlin with eco-friendly ink.
