Lovebird x Generative AI 1.

Most of us have been/are scared of AI. I myself had ambiguous feelings about it. Yesterday, as I watched Adobe Max, where lots of creatives shared how they implement Generative AI in their work I decided to give it a try myself, here is what I think:

1. This is a great tool and as long as we use it as one of them there is nothing to be afraid of. It's not taking away our creativity, on the contrary, it fuels it. Remember, people were once afraid of electricity.

2. It speeds up the workflow tremendously. Of course this collage didn't happen in five minutes, but maybe if I practice more it is going to be possible. Will it mean I am less of an artist because I took shortcuts? No.

3. I am just thrilled to see where this takes us as designers and artists.

When graphic designer meets a PhD student, who engineers enzymes for sustainable production of caprolactam and wants her thesis to highlight sustainability, eco-friendliness and less-waste approach :)

This book was printed on FSC papers (cover: Crush grape 250 g, inside: eco book paper 80g) and the format was changed to A5 (most frequently used format for the PhD thesis at RUG is 170 x 240 mm, which generates much more paper waste in production process).

For a final touch a silver foil was transferred on a front cover using hot-stamping method.

Warrior.

This is a last one created in Arrifana. A warrior, because we all are warriors, battling every single day, especially this year. Daily struggles, long-term struggles, there is so many of them and sometimes it seems like they are just surrounding you and there is no way out. There is always a way out, find your inner warrior and keep fighting, it's worth it, you are worth it.
