I shot this picture with Annika Karlsen years ago, a Norwegian beauty, not just a beautiful face, but with a kind and tender personality, with a golden heart.
Nowadays, I see that there is an increasing reaction against Christmas. I see how some politicians try to legally ban the Christmas celebrations. I should admit that I am not a religious person. However, I appreciate traditional values and events that connect people for peace, joy and sharing—in a world, where people are being deliberately pushed to opposing extreme ends: intense political and cultural polarisation. An enemy culture following the cancel culture... I think and believe, Glühwein is more tasteful than Molotov cocktail 🍷.
Christmas, unlike the name suggests, in fact, a traditional pagan celebration of the winter solstice. It doesn't come from the deserts of the Middle East. The roots of the tree are so deep and strong. Even if you name something differently, it never changes what it really is. It only puts a make up on the face, but it does not change the existential identity behind it. We are what we are.
I believe and am for living in peace and harmony. Anything that brings people, friends and family members together has a value. The head might be messed up or confused in such a world of uncertainty and polarisation, but the heart is always capable to find the peace and wisdom. Just listen to and follow it, not the flock. 🐑🐑🐑 So… no matter how you prefer to name it, let’s celebrate for peace and joy. Enjoy your holiday with your family and beloved ones ✨🎄💕🥂
