Kunst für die Stadt — Art for the City ⚫️ Across five city locations, works by former Villa Aurora Fellows unfold in dialogue with the urban space — by Wiebke Loeper, Edgar & Zora Arceneaux, Janine Eggert, Lukas Glinkowski, and Erik Goengrich.
The first part, shown in spring, featured Anna Haifisch, Siska, Ulu Braun, Paul Hutchinson, Werner Amann, and Karin Apollonia Müller.

Art as tool for raising awareness and sparking dialogue around urgent issues. The exhibition “New Ecologies” that was happening in the public space in Chemnitz, from June to September, brought together artists who have tackled one of the most pressing challenges of our time: climate change.

From a whale in the parking garage to a car filled with water, there was plenty to discover. The exhibition curated by Florian Matzner and Anja Richter invited visitors to explore diverse perspectives on environmental issues through a city-wide tour.
🌍
The catalogue reflects the exhibition’s vision.
For the visual identity we’ve worked with the variable font „Climate crisis“ that helps to understand the global climate change: The typeface’s weight responds to the levels of Arctic sea ice from 1979 to 2019 and predictions for 2050, based on data from the National Snow and Ice Data Center.
Furthermore we’ve developed a rich imagery consisting of thermal images, fragments of nature and industry and a bright color code.

Impressions and insights from the Bardentreffen in Nuremberg 🎸musicians performing in front of our typography.

The Projektbüro Kultur in Nuremberg organizes music and art festivals in public spaces – among others the Bardentreffen. We have developed a new visual identity for it. In our design, each of the festivals is given its own framework.

We developed a new visual identity for Projektbüro Kultur, which organises music and art festivals in public spaces in Nuremberg.
Each festival is given its own exciting space and form, which moves within the framework of the Citys Identity.

🌴 Among palm trees in the Pacific Palisades, Villa Aurora stands in Los Angeles and serves as a temporary residence for artists. The former home of Martha and Lion Feuchtwanger is part of VA•TMH (Villa Aurora • Thomas Mann House) and for some time now we have been happy about the beautiful collaboration.
