For our clients Champagne Louis Roederer & Alaska Seafood, we welcomed the Food Editors Club members during their yearly gathering. This time at the Brenners Park-Hotel in Baden-Baden. Their chef created three amazing appetizers with Alaska Wild Salmon for this occasion.

Bringing the magic of Maple to Jeunes Restaurateurs in Germany 🍁 Exclusive JRE Masterclass with Maple Ambassador and JRE Membre d'honneur Christian Mittermeier from Villa Mittermeier took place recently in Obertshausen. Over 30 young talents were eager to discover Canadian maple products and their various applications and were encouraged to use Maple in their own high-end cuisines. 🍽.

Together, they prepared a four-course menu:

- Burrata tomato in Maple broth beef tartare
- Braised beef with prunes and Maple
- Duck leg with smoky Maple emulsion and pumpkin
- Maple sticky rice and mango

Drum roll & fanfare - the GOLDEN WALNUT AWARD 2022 goes to Godehard Höweling & Jan Maurer. After thrilling finals in early October at the Akademie Deutsches Bäckerhandwerk Weinheim, the award ceremony took place this weekend at Südback trade show in Stuttgart. Not an easy decision for the jury. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all the professional bakers and pastry chefs who participated! You all created inspiring and innovative treats with California walnuts! Special thanks to the judges WildBakers , Bernd Kütscher and Annette Klingelhöfer as well as to the Federal Academy Weinheim!
