If you choose to advertise your core offer, you're going straight for the sale — a direct approach, often effective for lower-cost products or services.
However, if you're selling something more expensive, it’s often smarter to start with a lead magnet.
What is a lead magnet?
A lead magnet is a low-cost or free offer designed to solve a specific problem for your audience. More importantly, it should create a desire or need that can only be fully addressed by your core offer.
It’s crucial that your lead magnet provides genuine value. Even if it’s free or inexpensive, it should be something people would willingly pay for. Offering something low-quality can damage your reputation — if your free offer seems cheap or unhelpful, potential clients may assume your paid services are no better and decide not to buy from you at all.
Always lead with value. The stronger your lead magnet, the more trust you build — and the easier it becomes to guide clients toward your core offer.
