A Voice-Acoustic project by Hi Tech Audio México
Located in Mexico City, Salón Camarena (.mx) is a venue that redefines the nightlife experience through the integration of music, technology, and culture. Conceived as a tribute to Guillermo González Camarena, the Mexican inventor of colour television, the venue builds its concept around the idea of signal and transmission to create a unique and immersive environment.
Under the concept “The signal you’ve been looking for”, Salón Camarena positions the guest as the protagonist. Through a 360° screen setup, the space fully surrounds the audience, transforming each track into a complete audiovisual experience.
Music programming plays a central role in this narrative. From Spanish and English pop to timeless classics, the venue is designed to connect with the audience through familiar playlists that encourage interaction, singing, and collective engagement. This is complemented by a social concept tailored for groups, making it an ideal space for private events and shared experiences.
In this context, the sound system becomes a key element in sustaining the overall experience. For this project, a solution based on Voice-Acoustic systems was implemented, selected for their ability to deliver uniform coverage, clarity, and control within a dynamic and immersive environment.
The installed system consists of 8x Score-5 loudspeakers, supported by 1x Paveosub-218 and 1x Paveosub-118, powered by 2x VADAS-8K4D amplifiers. To ensure optimal integration into the space, ceiling and wall mounting solutions were utilized, allowing for efficient sound distribution without compromising the venue’s visual concept.
The result is a consistent and enveloping sound experience, where every point in the venue maintains precise and balanced reproduction. This allows the visual and sonic elements to operate in full synchronization, reinforcing audience engagement with the content.
Salón Camarena establishes itself as a space where music, visuals, and atmosphere converge into a cohesive experience, positioning it as one of the emerging hotspots in Mexico City’s nightlife scene.
