Rhubarb season has arrived, and we’re marking it after dark.

Developed to celebrate the Spring Equinox, our cocktail duo moves from light into shadow. Following on from DIURNUS — Of the Day earlier this week, we continue the arc with Nocturnus — Of the Night. A violet and rhubarb sour built on gin, layered with Lillet and a house syrup of rhubarb, thyme and vanilla. Earthy, aromatic, and softly sweet, with a brûléed orange slice catching the last light of dusk.

Balanced, crepuscular, and the natural counterpart to its daytime twin.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped us celebrate the opening of My Lady Ni****ne, the inaugural exhibition at our new gallery, bringing together contemporary artworks and archival materials to trace how ni****ne has been marketed, mythologised and ritualised across time.

At the opening reception we served Parfait Ci******es – fried pastry filled with tofu parfait and mushroom “ash”; Finger Staining Eggs – curried devilled quail eggs designed to leave guests with tell-tale yellow fingers; and Smoked Sardines on Toast, pipe-tobacco smoked sardines served on toast with tomato, inspired by the J.M.Barrie’s favourite late-night snack.

Visits are now open: Fridays 12–5pm or by appointment.

NOW AVAILABLE: The Benham & Froud Mini Daffodil Mould set

Long before chocolate eggs, spring was marked by flowers.

Daffodils bloom at the Spring Equinox, when day and night balance and the year begins to tilt toward light. Ancient cultures saw them as signs of renewal; later they became entwined with Easter as symbols of rebirth and hope.

With Easter just around the corner, our new daffodil mini mould set lets you cast that history in jelly form.

A set of five moulds, golden possibilities, and gelatin sheets included for your own edible ode to spring.

We removed every piece of cutlery before the main course at our last FEASTING Supper Club. A small shift, designed for guests to share their food with their hands. Hesitation gave way to instinct, and guests began feeding one another. Etiquette dissolved into appetite.

This is where FEASTING begins, subtle disruptions that turn a meal into something social, sensory and slightly transgressive.

On Thursday 16 April, FEASTING returns with My Lady Ni****ne. Tickets are now live.

Taking ni****ne as muse, ritual and vice, the evening explores why habits persist—why repetition comforts, and why certain pleasures linger despite themselves.

The menu expands on the opening night: edible ci******es filled with tofu parfait and mushroom “ash”, curried eggs that stain the fingers, smoked sardines on toast, and a Berlin Breakfast cocktail balancing coffee, cherry and cocoa, lifted with mint.

Expect a meal shaped by rhythm and repetition.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: MY LADY NI****NE: Lucy Hutchings

Lucy Hutchings paints the strange theatre of the night. Her work captures moments when inhibition slips and behaviour turns carnivalesque. Figures gather in scenes of debauchery and uneasy intimacy, where mouths open, laughter distorts and the body becomes both seductive and grotesque.

Working with figurative painting, Hutchings explores shame, pleasure and the absurd rituals that emerge when social conditioning loosens. Orifices, bodily fluids and exaggerated expressions push her imagery into territory that is both alluring and unsettling.

Lucy Hutchings (b. 2001, Hong Kong) is a London based painter and recent MA Fine Art graduate of City & Guilds of London Art School.

Lucy Hutchings is one of nine artists exhibiting in My Lady Ni****ne, the inaugural exhibition at Woodward Henry, Bompas & Parr’s new gallery space. Our first exhibition will explore ni****ne as ritual, vice and cultural symbol.

Die Andere Seite der Nacht—The Other Side of The Night, featuring Bompas & Parr’s participatory ‘Nap Room’ is now open at Dortmunder Kunstverien until 17 May in Dortmund.

The group exhibition, featuring works by seven international contemporary artists is dedicated to the realm of dreams. While concepts and definitions that have shaped Western thought since the Enlightenment are currently undergoing rapid transformation in the digital and post-truth era, the dichotomies of light and darkness, reality and fiction, wakefulness and dreaming also appear to be eroding.

The exhibition invites visitors to reconsider the archaic moment of sleep—which accounts for one third of human life—as a personal and social value.

We’re thrilled to be part of an exhibition that demonstrates the individual and collective power that can be drawn from dreaming in the present day. Visitors to the ‘Nap Room’ are invited to experience an artists dream and contribute their own dream, just as visitors did when the concept was first presented for ‘Dreaming Together’ at The Groucho Club in October 2025.

Thank you so much to .seubert and for inviting us to be part of this exhibition.

Find out more about the exhibition via the link in our bio and watch this space for more details about the exhibition and accomanying events programme 🔗
