Thank you to all the parents who show up for their children’s dreams, no matter how tough it gets

Volvo’s latest campaign shines a light on the unsung heroes who have always supported us…our parents. It’s a tribute to the mums and dads who wake up early, pack the kit, drive to training, wait on the sidelines and cheer their children on, week after week, no matter how rough it gets.

The spot draws a parallel between Volvo vehicles and supportive parents, positioning the car as a reliable presence that is there for every journey in the exact same way.

Set to Nina Persson’s rendition of Queen’s hit song ‘We Are the Champions’, the campaign gives the iconic anthem a more heartfelt meaning, celebrating the parents who may never lift a trophy, but are surely champions in their own way.

Ever thought you could clear your financial debt by purchasing a bottle of cleaning product?

When CIF noticed people repeatedly joking about how “CIF can clean everything but my name,” on their social platforms, the brand decided to look into the matter.

In Brazil, having a ‘dirty name’ is a common way of referring to being in financial debt. With more than half of Brazilian adults in debt, CIF partnered with Serasa Experian, Brazil’s largest credit negotiation platform, and found that the average debt settlement was around $200.

So CIF decided to redirect their promotional budget, and actually use it to clean people’s names. The brand launched a limited edition of Cif Limpa Nome (Cif Clean My Name), with each bottle offering a $200 reward that could be used towards settling the buyer’s debt.

What makes the idea clever is that the promotion still did exactly what promotions are meant to do, but in a way that genuinely helped consumers while building a positive association with the brand.

100 years of everyday British life, all in one bustling tableau

John Lewis’ ‘Tableau’ marks 100 years of the brand’s commitment to its ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ promise, an initiative that ensures customers get the best price. If they find a branded product cheaper at one of 25 tracked competitors within seven days of their purchase, John Lewis will refund the difference.

To celebrate a century of this longstanding promise, the spot brings 100 years of British heritage to life, with everything centred around the number 100. 100 popular products, 100 seconds, 100 actors and even shot at 100 frames per second.

Shooting and editing techniques create the illusion of a single take, seamlessly weaving together different eras of British life throughout the century. From car boot picnics and village fetes to Charleston dances and iconic makeup trends, the film brings together the past and present of everyday life, showing how John Lewis has been, and continues to be, an integral part of it.

Set to Mike Skinner’s rendition of ‘The Beat Goes On’, the soundtrack brings the different eras together while reinforcing the idea that, through all the changes, the beat of life does indeed go on.

IKEA celebrates 30 years of its iconic FRAKTA bag and all the ways it has been put to use

It’s been three decades since the iconic blue IKEA bag first came along, and the brand knows just how versatile it can be. Whether you’ve used it as a cat bed, keyboard case, luggage bag, laundry bag, as a makeshift paddling pool or so much more, this print campaign titled ‘Belli organizzati’, which translates to ‘Beautifully Organized’, pays tribute to all the different rolls the FRAKTA has filled over the years.

Done in collaboration with street photographer Salvatore Matarazzo, the campaign carries his signature flash photography style, using dynamic and captivating angles to bring each use of the FRAKTA bag to life.

Welcome back to another collaboration of the Good Ads Matter Ads Makers’ Picks 2026, and today we are thrilled to welcome Ali Rez, Chief Creative Officer at IMPACT BBDO MENAP IMPACT BBDO.

With over two decades of experience across four continents, Ali Rez has built a career creating culturally resonant and purpose-driven campaigns.

Ali has worked with global brands including PepsiCo, VISA, Adobe, Google, IKEA, Etihad Airways, MARS, P&G and Starbucks.

His work has earned over 1,000 international accolades, including Grand Prix and top honours at Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards and Dubai Lynx.

Some of his notable campaigns include AnNahar’s ‘Elections Edition’, Etihad’s ‘Impossible Orchestra’, and ‘Not A Bug Splat’ for the Foundation for Fundamental Rights.

Today, we’re spotlighting one of Ali’s Picks, British Airways’ ‘Magic of Flying’, an incredible feat of technology that brought back the child-like wonder of watching a plane fly overhead.

The campaign featured a digital billboard with a little boy pointing at planes as they flew overhead in real time!

Behind this ingenious idea was a carefully technological process. An Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast receiver tracked incoming flights within a 200km radius, capturing data points such as their speed, altitude and GPS location. When a BA flight entered a designated trigger zone, its details were cross-referenced with the BA HQ , while cloud data was checked to ensure the plane would be visible. If everything lined up, the billboard was triggered.

The idea helped British Airways showcase its range of destinations while positioning the airline as an affordable option for travellers looking to book their next flight.

Sharing his thoughts on the campaign, Ali Rez explains, “ (It is) An iconic piece of work where true magic happens through the meeting of technology, medium and engagement. If the goal of outdoor is to stop people in their tracks, this does it. Throw in a bit of “how the hell did they do that?” and you’ve got something memorable forever.”

Among Ali’s other picks are:
The Zimbabwean Newspaper ‘Trillion Dollar Campaign’
The Economist ‘The Lightbulb’

Sometimes, it’s better to just watch the plot than do it for the plot

Tubi, the free streaming platform, has launched its first global brand campaign, ‘Find Any Feeling For Free’, as it expands its presence worldwide.

Told through a series of nine exaggerated and rather dark humour films, the campaign explores the lengths people will go to just to feel something. Emotions: love, horror, humour, nostalgia, adventure and vengeance.

The campaign explores the lengths people will go to just to feel something, told through nine exaggerated films that centred around emotions like love, horror, humour, nostalgia, adventure and vengeance. But it goes beyond the usual genres you’d expect from a streaming platform, tapping into more specific feelings that feel especially relevant today, like nostalgia, being one with nature and yearning for a meet-cute.

Instead, Tubi suggests that it would be better to experience these emotions through its wide range of movies and TV shows, rather than putting yourself in a sticky situation trying to experience them in real life.

When a centuries-old story becomes a voice for countless women standing up against marital r**e today

In India, marital r**e is still not recognised as a criminal offence. To spark a conversation around the issue, the Red Dot Foundation, a non-profit working to address gender-based violence, launched ‘The Infinite Saree’, using a powerful symbol of Indian culture and heritage to give voice to the countless women demanding change.

The campaign retells the story of Draupadi’s never-ending saree from the Mahabharata through an animation where each part of the story is stitched onto fabric as it unfolds. Her story feels particularly relevant here, as she too found herself in a moment of injustice, only to be protected by divine intervention. By drawing on this familiar cultural story, the campaign turns the saree into a symbol of protection, solidarity and lending a helping hand to women who continue to face injustice

The idea extended beyond the film through a collaboration with fashion designer Nivedita Saboo, with thousands of signatures supporting the campaign embroidered onto a 4-kilometre-long saree. Dr**ed at Mumbai’s Royal Opera House, the saree brought thousands of individual voices together as one powerful petition for change.

Every tree lost puts another life at risk

As of 2016, Malaysia had lost more than half of its natural rainforest. This heartbreaking print campaign highlights the devastating consequences habitat loss has had on the country’s endangered species.

Malaysia’s 130-million-year-old Belum-Temengor rainforest is home to a range of threatened wildlife, including the Malaysian tapir, the Sumatran rhino, hornbills and freshwater fish.

The visuals use colour contrast and animal silhouettes to communicate the different threats posed by deforestation for each, whether it’s from the loss of food and shelter to increased vulnerability to poachers.

Work stress got you falling apart?

Stresstab’s ‘Assemble’ creatively depicts the toll burnout can take on someone, and how the tablet can help restore them.

With overworking being a common reality in the Philippines, the feeling of being stretched to your limit is something many can relate to. The film follows Jemerlyn, an overworked employee who literally begins to fall apart under the pressures of her work. That’s when a team of assemblers, or Stresstabs, step in to piece her back together.
