We flew to Las Vegas from New York late at night, it was deserted at the exit from the airport, it took us a while to find transport to take us to the hotel. I don’t know why it happened, perhaps the domestic terminal is not very busy at night, and in Vegas at that time life was in full swing. We checked into the hotel at about 2 am, but, despite being tired, we went down for a little walk around the casino.
We traveled around the city on foot and once used a taxi to get to the car rental point (taxi drivers are usually tipped).
On the last day, we rented a car to continue to the national parks. It is unlikely that you will be able to ride along the main street of the Strip with a breeze, in the evening it turns into a continuous traffic jam. There are no problems with parking, it is free in all hotels and outlets, there are plenty of places, although the distance from the parking place to the room can be decent.
From public transport there is a monorail running from hotel to hotel, as well as buses.

There are many other five-star hotels in Vegas with a high level of service (for example, the Trump Hotel with a golden facade or the Chinese-oriented Wynn Hotel), but they are built in the modern style of glass skyscrapers, such can be found in any metropolis. The inside of such hotels is also beautiful, but walking and staying in themed hotels is more interesting. We planned to visit all the themed hotels in Vegas, but the main quartet dragged us into their networks for a long time and we could only see the rest of the hotels from the outside. In the evening they are especially impressive: New York with the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge, the fabulous Excalibur, the mysterious Egyptian Luxor. I will separately mention the Flamingo Hotel-Casino, compared to the main hotels, it is not so interesting, however, this is one of the first casinos in Las Vegas, exactly the atmosphere that we are familiar with from old American films reigns there. It's a Las Vegas classic!

We read "Las Vegas", we think "casino".
And I used to think so, but after visiting there are already other associations.
"Strip, fireworks of emotions, fun without limits, magical atmosphere, temptations, delight!" - all this comes to mind now.

My husband and I visited the city of permissiveness in February 2011, we arrived in a rented car from Los Angeles.
The road took about 3.5 hours and was very boring at first. But the closer we drove to the state of Nevada, the more interesting the views from the car window became.
Real desert. It is very interesting how in such an area a huge city could “grow up”, populated more by tourists than by locals?
I used to think that in the States gambling establishments are allowed only in Nevada, and only gamblers go to Vegas exclusively for gambling.
Turns out I just didn't care.

I want to warn you right away that my review turned out to be long and with a small number of photos.
I wrote this review "out of order".
Before the trip, I read a lot about Las Vegas and will share some facts with the readers.
In general, the review turned out for those interested.
So, to many it may not seem interesting.
Well, I did not deliberately w**d out half of the readers, but I invite the rest to Vegas! The history of the city's origin is remarkable.
It often happens when the favorable location of a settlement ensures its prosperity.
Or competent actions of the authorities lead cities to well-being.
Las Vegas is from the category of cities "it happened" or "so the chip went down."
And it turned out so well that in some cases the city influenced US policy, and not vice versa. This unremarkable desert area, where billions of neon lights are now lit every evening, got its name back in 1829. Then the merchants went astray, and they were lucky to find a source of water.
Hence the wonderful name.
Translated from Spanish, "Las Vegas" means "floodplain meadows." Well, I don’t know, maybe meadows.
And maybe the fields ... miracles!

Definitely recommended to visit. Good tourist infrastructure. There are all amenities, a lot of parking spaces - paid and free. You need to come in the morning, before 10, in order to have time to see everything before the influx of tourists! It is worth putting the car in the parking lot and spending a couple of hours walking along the bridge, and then taking a picture on the dam itself. After this dam, it is very logical to get to the Grand Canyon!

We went with a group of friends to Vegas for 4 days and decided to experience new sensations. The hotel is at the end of the Strip (we lived at the other end), so we had to take a taxi. Attractions (there are only 3 of them) - not for the faint of heart, when you sit on the seat and 250 meters under you - it's strong! Recommend to anyone who wants a shake!

Definitely to visit!!!
It's a crime to be in Las Vegas and not build a dam.
The huge and fundamental construction of 31-35 years of the twentieth century is impressive.
Drive 40 min from LV.
You can not pay 10 bucks for parking, but drive further than 200 meters and get up for free, and then walk along the dam and take pictures.
After that, get into the car and return a little higher to the entrance from the LV side for a free forging at the entrance, leave the car and walk to the road bridge over the dam to take amazing photos.

This place is like a breath of fresh air after a hot Vegas. It's not far, about 30-40 miles. It is advisable to come there prepared - to take with you everything you need in order to have a barbecue. Didn't see any shops nearby. There is a park on the mountain, which is equipped with special barbecue areas.
It is possible to make several trails, only the level of difficulty is high for all.

The fountain is mesmerizing. It is impossible to break away from his music and the beauty of water jets. We have been to Vegas twice. Viewed almost a dozen views of the fountain. And never saw a repeat. The fountain "dances" to different music. From classical to contemporary pop. And every time this show causes delight and surprise. A must to visit!

You can walk endlessly along the Strip: it's hot - go to chic cool shops, more like museums, tired - food for every taste and budget almost every 50 meters, movement until late at night and everyone is in a good mood😇

This main street never sleeps! There are people everywhere day and night. On the Strip there are sights in miniature from many countries: France, USA, Greece, etc. Very cool, bright and beautiful!
