City from above.

As always, we could not resist looking at the city from above. They did what they did not do in Paris - they climbed the local Eiffel Tower. I must say that the daytime view of the city is so-so, Vegas is losing its chic, it is better to admire it from this tower in the evening. On the way back from the Grand Canyon, we visited the highest observation tower in the US at the Stratosphere Hotel, where you can see the perspective of the Strip and the surrounding area. At the height there are extreme rides, I was even scared to look at them, not to mention trying. For fans of hard extreme sports, I highly recommend it. There is an observation deck here (cost $20), but we said we were going to the SkyLounge bar and got in for free. We took a couple of cocktails at the bar, and it certainly turned out to be more profitable, despite the fact that the prices are too high, and the cocktails themselves are so-so. The view is cool even during the day, as a bonus you can see how brave extreme people storm these crazy rides. After our trip to Vegas, another huge Ferris wheel was opened, I think this is also an excellent platform for high-rise views.

In Las Vegas, there is no half board that is usual in Europe, you pay only for accommodation, but you can eat wherever you want, we ate mainly at Starbucks, it is democratic and inexpensive (in America, not with us).

In Las Vegas, unlike all other cities, you can smoke everywhere (even in the rooms), and to make it smell better, there are invisible vanilla flavors everywhere!
Alcohol is sold without presenting a passport, and in the evening, when it gets dark, crowds of visitors, vacationers go back and forth along the main street of the city of the Strip and with ci******es, and some people drink (I have not seen this in other cities). Why in the evening, no, and during the day they go, but during the day it is very hot, the desert, the temperature is almost 40 degrees.

What do I remember about the city? These are endless hotels, casinos, restaurants, shows, shops.

Welcome to incredible, fabulous, amazing Las Vegas! A city that heroically experiences the New Year, Independence Day, and even Halloween from year to year! This is a city that Americans come to, and we, tourists from other countries, exclusively for entertainment purposes, and everyone, as you know, has their own ideas about entertainment, and here, in Las Vegas, they are fully manifested! After all, what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas.

We were in Vegas twice, once on New Year's Eve, and the other time on New Year's Day itself. If someone else chooses where to celebrate the New Year in America - come here, you won't be mistaken :)

For us personally, Las Vegas is very strategically located on the way from California to other states - Nevada with its Death Valley, Arizona with its Grand Canyon, Utah with its Monument Valley, a lot of tourists come to the city simply by traveling along the legendary Route 66 (Route 66 ). Therefore, we will come to this city and more!

Years ago the railway right-of-way for the trains that hauled materials to build Boulder/now Hoover Dam ran from Henderson on the outskirts of tiny and remote Las Vegas down into Black Canyon where the new dam was being built in the early 1930s. Now it is an awesome and easy and FUN desert hike that goes through several short tunnels with beautiful vistas of Lake Mead. bring plenty of water - even when the weather is mild like now in the fall and winter months. You WILL live this super easy hike!

What can I say, but if you love nature and want to get away from the st******se in Las Vegas, this is for you! There are quaint little houses to stay in, a good restaurant to eat in, and about 20 degrees cooler than the desert floor and strip. There are good hiking trails for beginners to experienced hikers. You'll need to rent a car to get there from the street if you're just visiting the casinos, but a nice getaway from the crowded Vegas strip, if you're looking for a good Nevada hiking spot, this might be for you.

Climbing Mount Charleston, our ears popped a bit from the altitude. I loved seeing all the trees and grass there, I would go again, it's cooler than when we were on the Las Vegas strip. It was a fun day. We went to the part where you pay to get to where there are picnic tables and trails and there were big groups 2 times with incredibly loud music roaring and bouncing off the mountains. I mean it should be a place of peace and nature without taking your 20 kids and stuff and loud music. It was so terrible that we couldn't stay and we paid $18 to get in.

Well, what to add to the photo. Unrealistically beautiful - after all, a technical giant miracle is located in a black canyon, which in fact is the beginning of the great canyon of the Colorado River. It is unrealistically majestic - after all, the dam with a height of 221 was started to be built in 1931, when there were no computers and iPhones in the project. Just imagine the scale of this metonic monster and imagine how all this was built at the beginning of the 20th century. I bow to the engineers and builders of this miracle.
The landscapes from the dam are simply magnificent, but an even more gorgeous view of it opens up from the arched bridge opposite. We were very lucky, it was just a gale that tried to sn**ch the phone along with our hands. As I learned later, this kind of weather is common here.
Be sure to stop at this beautiful dam when you drive from Las Vegas.

Once you step away from the Las Vegas Strip, you will discover national parks that are worth spending more than a day, such as the Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon. Before coming to LV, I imagined this street differently. As it turned out, a street with busy traffic, on both sides of the sidewalk along the huge hotels, which are one fancier than the other. The mood is uplifted by the music that just sounds on the street. Lots of tourists, lots of street musicians on the bridges between the hotels, lots of homeless people, just a lot :)) lots of people advertising various events, from simple handing out flyers to naked girls. Flyers, by the way, advertising es**rt girls. The feeling of permissiveness is in the air :) and all these neon lights are just dizzy.

You can see everything on the strip! City of sins, reeking of ma*****na, cigarette smoke, alcohol, a city of naked women, a carefree life and innumerable lights burning day and night! Casino, discos, museums and expositions, circus, shows, illusionists!

The most interestingly designed hotels of the city are located on this street. Lots of restaurants, cafes. Here you can also watch free shows, for example, dancing fountains next to the Belagio Hotel. In the evening, of course, there are a lot of people here. But there is a very beautiful backlight and holiday atmosphere.

A couple of tips:
1) Feel free to go to hotels. You will be only welcome! This applies, first of all, to hotels with a casino. Interesting interiors, shops, cafes and more.
2) It is better to stay in hotels WITHOUT casinos, there are such hotels on the Strip, for example, the Jockey Club next to the Cosmopolitan. They don't charge a lot of taxes! And parking is free. The end result is a big win.
3) But it is better to eat away from the Strip, because not all prices are very high. Look for places with high ratings on TripAdvisor and go there. Even with Uber, you win money.
4) Be sure to visit the flower show at the Bellagio Hotel - it's fantastic! And it's completely free. And also watch the fountain show - it goes every evening.
