Long time no hear. I must admit I've been far too lazy with my insta. Now it's summer and holiday time. And with time to relax comes time to read. I'm quite happy that I discovered this incredible book, Caps Lock. A non-fiction page turner on how Capitalism took hold of Graphic Design and how to escape from it. Must read for Designer.

It's always special when a digital creation finally comes to life, like these three labels for winemaker + for the Hamburg restaurateur Bui Hai Ngoc. His latest Vietnamese restaurant with foosball, street art and artful retro posters is also visually out of the ordinary and deviates from what one traditionally imagines an Asian restaurant to be. This visually surprising world should also be reflected in the labels of the wines he serves. Simple but funky – Bui wanted only his lucky charm, a refined with bold colors, and independent typo.
I am curious how the look on the bottles. This is a good occasion for me to go out for a Vietnamese meal in Hamburg soon...

Matcha - such an expressive tea needs an expressive design, no question. After all, not only the taste of this tea is special, but also its powdery scent and its phenomenal green. With a striking typography, contrasting colours and subtle enhancements I redesigned this Matcha as a vitality-promoting superfood.
