Flowers for spring? 🇪🇺

Groundbreaking!

‘We made a flag. Twelve flowers instead of twelve stars’ 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

A timely riposte to the divisive post-Brexit political zeitgeist, .eu is a new independent magazine from Austria ‘that treats European identity not as a political programme but as a cultural practice.’ Features are divided into three subcategories—‘Unity in Diversity’, ‘Humanism’, and ‘Savoir Vivre’—combining interviews with activists, creative practitioners and facilitators, entrepreneurs and political leaders, with historical trivia, infographics, an alternative events calendar, and an abundance of social impact photography.

This inaugural issue, titled ‘F**k it, I’m European’, features a cobalt blue cover—in reference to the EU flag—and is one of a limited edition of 500 hand numbered copies, primarily distributed to friends, contributors and fellow members of the creative community. Inside, you’ll find conversations spanning Moldova-Russia relations, St Pauli’s fan-owned co-operative, the legacy of the Troubles, subversive condom packaging and the human cost of digitally optimising public space, with contributions from the likes of Kae Tempest, novelist Robert Menasse, former Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, and the people behind CERN, FC St. Pauli and Vienna’s ImPulsTanz festival.

Check out this gorgeous and important new magazine in our indie mag store in Hamburg or order it online.

Time for a spring cleaning 🧼

Issue Fifty-Nine of considers the meaning of “clean” as a ritual, a feeling and an instinct. If you’re starting to think about spring cleaning, you can read our longform essay, which examines how clean we really need to be; or else find solace in Dirty Habits, which turns its attention to the universal pockets of imperfection we all have—dead plants, missing mugs or a junk drawer.
We chart the boom in public bathing culture among younger generations in Tokyo and ask five perfumers and an expert to identify what “clean” actually smells like. We also meet David Bronner, whose soap company has taken on a life of its own: a family business turned countercultural force. And while you may expect to see an issue full of “clean lines” and minimalist design, we instead speak to Leonard Koren, one of the world’s leading aesthetes, who has an entirely different proposition.

Elsewhere, we meet Jessie Ware—the down-to-earth, bluntly funny British pop star who turned her mother’s weekly Friday night dinners for family and friends into a beloved podcast. Plus, our contributors spend time with a dry cleaner, a dermatologist and a saxophonist, ask whether culture is dead, and try to make sense of Theseus’ paradox.

Delving deeply into home, work, style and culture, Kinfolk promotes quality of life and connects a global community of creative professionals from London to Tokyo. Since 2011, Kinfolk has become a leading lifestyle authority with a dynamic mix of print and online media, including a quarterly magazine sold in over 100 countries in four languages, daily posts on Kinfolk.com, bestselling books, plus international events and a gallery space in the heart of Copenhagen.

Order the fresh and clean new issue online or have a look in our Hamburg store.

Word on the street is … 💬

celebrates anti-algorithmic behaviour with The Lore Issue for Spring 2026.

EsDeeKid is a masked sensation who—despite being a child of online rap culture—has absolutely zero paper trail. In a photoshoot spanning across three countries (and featuring three rottweilers), director Aidan Zamiri follows the Liverpudlian musician on a medieval chronicle through the looking glass of rap stardom. The story features an original poem titled “Vermin” penned by EsDeeKid himself during the making of the shoot.

SZA is a certified megastar by every measure who has achieved the rare feat of being insanely famous yet beautifully unknowable, maybe even to herself. For our cover story, we met the musician in Los Angeles to find out what goes on inside her mind. Speaking with writer Brittany Spanos, SZA opens up about her artistry, her beliefs, and her commitment to making music others can’t, from the ashram to the Super Bowl.

Elsewhere on our covers, Bhavitha Mandava (hyperlink) takes center stage and we remember a British legend. But wait—there’s more lore! Zara Larsson escapes the Khia Asylum, Simone Rocha and Martine Rose dish about fashion, Jack Antonoff orders some take-away, we round up London’s best vintage stores, and a group of 18-year old design students interrogate the designers behind fashion’s most famed maisons.

Also insi-De: Hasan Piker, Joyce Carol Oates, Adéla, Cruz Valdez’s crew, mega beauty, UFC fighters, Torishéju Dumi, and a Burger King Birkin bag.

Get into the lore online or read all about it in our Hamburg store.
