Extension building Bündner Kunstmuseum by Barozzi Veiga, Barcelona (2016) ➡️ Swipe for more pictures

The historical core of the Bündner Kunstmuseum is Villa Planta, a Palladian villa with oriental accents. The extension impresses with its clear form and precise positioning in relation to Villa Planta and the Rhaetian Railway administration building. The restrained, compact above-ground volume, together with the symmetrically structured façade, emphasises the independence but also the respectful attitude towards the valuable villa in the garden and the neighbouring building.

Catholic Church of the Holy Cross by architect Walter Maria Förderer (1969)

The dark interior of the church is designed in a semicircular shape around a wooden altar with asymmetrical forms. The semicircle is angular, with no curves, and is interspersed with 12 niches on the south wall and 14 on the east wall.

The polygonal tower adjoins the building on the south-west side.
