findnix.eu is Live — Europe's First Tracking-Free Search Engine Enters Public Beta

We've been building quietly for months. Today, we're opening the doors.

findnix.eu is now in public beta — a European meta-search engine built from the ground up without tracking, without profiling, and without Google. Completely DSGVO/GDPR-native, hosted on servers in Germany, and designed for everyone in Europe who's tired of being the product.

What is findnix.eu?

findnix.eu combines multiple independent search indexes (including Brave Search and our own sitemap crawler) with an AI summary layer powered by Claude. The result: fast, relevant search results — with a quality score you can actually see, and no filter bubble built from your data.

What makes it different:

- Zero tracking — no user profiling, no behavioral data, no fingerprinting
- No auction-based ads — flat-rate advertising only. A small bakery pays the same fair price as a corporation
- AI summaries — top results summarized with sources always visible
- 25 EU languages — the entire interface and all content is available in all 24 official EU languages plus Swiss German
- EU servers — all data stays in Germany, DSGVO-native by design

Privacy first — even for beta testers

We take the "no tracking" promise seriously, even during beta:

- Your account is yours. You can delete it at any time — one click in your profile, confirm with your password, and everything is gone. No support ticket, no waiting period, no questions asked.
- No IP storage — analytics are anonymized before processing
- Cookie consent — only technically necessary cookies by default
- GDPR-compliant by architecture, not just by checkbox

When the beta ends and we move to full release, you keep your account, your points, and your submitted sitemaps. Nothing resets.

We're honest about where we are: the search index is still growing. Results for niche queries may be limited right now. The AI summary works best for well-covered topics. We're crawling new sitemaps daily and the index improves every week.

Built in Europe, for Europe

findnix.eu is an independent project — not backed by a US tech company, not funded by data brokers. It runs on a VPS in Germany, built with PHP and MariaDB, with Redis caching and a self-hosted SearXNG instance.

The code is written by one developer. The AI layer uses Claude (Anthropic) for summarization and spam filtering. Every euro from advertising goes back into server costs and development.

We believe Europe deserves better search infrastructure — transparent, fair, and genuinely privacy-respecting. findnix.eu is our attempt to build it.
