Your naming will shape your customers’ first impression and set you apart from the competition. Creating a brand name requires a great deal of knowledge, creativity, and thorough research. In order to make the right decision, you should include certain characteristics in your considerations.

Recognizable
-
You can use phonetics or a metaphor, so your brand name stands out amongst the crowd and stays in your mind.

Suggestive
-
A positive association for your brand name is essential. It should arouse curiosity, so your customers want to learn more about your product or service.

Short
-
You make your life easier if your brand name does not exceed 13 letters in length. Simplicity is the key.

Appealing
-
Your brand name should be attractive for your customers. It should also roll off the tongue and can include, for example, an alliteration or a play-on words to aid its appeal.

Unbound
-
There are millions of companies out there, and your brand name has probably already been thought of by someone else. However, you shouldn’t drop the name. Verify patents and trademarks, Google search, domain search, and social media availability. If your brand name is free to use, you’re good to go.

Starbucks, established in 1971 by a group of friends and coffee aficionados, sold mainly coffee beans and coffee-making equipment. While designing their logo, the owners took great inspiration from the city‘s maritime history. 🧜🏼‍♀️☕
In 1987 Terry Heckler redesigned the mermaid‘s appearance, making it more refined and modern. The bare-breasted mermaid got covered with luscious long hair. In 1992 the logo changed again and the mermaid‘s face got up close and personal. 👸🔍
In 2011 the company decided to let the mermaid appear on her own. CEO Schultz commented: „We‘ve allowed the mermaid to come out of the circle in a way I think gives us the freedom and flexibility to think beyond coffee“. 🍰🧋📦👕
In the future Starbucks plans to make a new transformative platform for the company, which includes going Web3 and creating a NFT based loyalty program with blockchain technology called Starbucks Odyssey. 🔱 📱🎁🔑

Can a simple shape evoke the brand in you? Obviously yes. 🧠😵‍💫

The purpose of brand design is to serve the consumer in terms of brand orientation and purchasing decisions. 🔎☑️

For example, we want to quickly find Toblerone on a full supermarket shelf. This works thanks to its striking shape. When people think of Swiss products, they associate them with high quality. We identify the triangular shape with the Swiss Alps. The Swiss is also known for having some of the best chocolate in the world. The shape establishes a connection with the origin of the product and thus its quality. To distinguish itself from other chocolate bars, Toblerone has been the only one to successfully occupy the long triangular shape for 115 years. 🇨🇭🏔️🤎

Persuaid erhält begehrten iF DESIGN AWARD 🙌🏆

Die feierliche Übergabe der iF DESIGN AWARDs 2022 fand im Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin statt. In diesem Jahr verzeichnete der iF DESIGN AWARD aus 57 Ländern 11.000 Einreichungen. Ein internationales Fachkomitee anerkannter Experten aus Kommunikationsdesign und Produktdesign prämierte Persuaid für die Product Launch Landingpage der Kosmetikmarke Sensetics – Sensible Skincare. Wir sind sehr erfreut und dankbar neben Marken wie Apple, Nike und MINI zu den auserwählten Preisträgern zu zählen.
