NEW RELEASE – Zampa 🎶

Ferdinand Hérold’s Zampa ou La Fiancée de marbre is out today on the Bru Zane Label!

First performed at the Opéra-Comique in Paris, Zampa was an immediate success and became an important part of the European operatic repertoire.

The album is a co-production of the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and the Palazzetto Bru Zane and forms part of the Bru Zane Label’s “French Opera” series, with Erik Nielsen conducting the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

✨ Bayreuth Baroque 2026 has come to an end!
From 4–13 September, Bayreuth was once again filled with the sounds of Baroque music, bringing together outstanding artists and audiences from around the world.
The concert programme offered a rich variety of Baroque music, presented in Bayreuth’s historic venues. One of this year’s highlights was Georg Friedrich Handel’s rarely performed "Floridante", directed by Max Emanuel Cencic, who also took on the title role. Yesterday was the final performance.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s festival! We’re already looking forward to Bayreuth Baroque 2027. ✨🎶

A look back at the 4th Haydneum Eszterháza Festival ✨

From 28 August to 5 September, Haydneum presented a programme centred mainly on the music of Joseph Haydn, with opera, chamber music and concerts in the historic surroundings of Eszterháza Palace in Fertőd, Hungary.

We look back with great pleasure on another edition of Haydneum and its many musical highlights. The festival once again offered a wonderful setting for the music of the 18th century! 🎶

The 7th edition of the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival has begun! ✨

Yesterday evening, the festival opened with a new production of Handel’s Floridante at the historic Margravial Opera House, directed by Artistic Director Max Emanuel Cencic, who also takes on the title role.

Until 13 September, Bayreuth Baroque brings opera, concerts and culinary events to some of Bayreuth’s most historic venues, with many highlights still to come.

We are looking forward to the festival days ahead and to many more wonderful performances and musical encounters! 🎶

September brings together a major festival, Baroque opera and three new album releases.

From 4 to 13 September, Bayreuth Baroque presents eleven days of opera and concerts. At the heart of this year’s festival is a new production of Handel’s «Floridante», directed by Max Emanuel Cencic at the Margravial Opera House.

On 18 September, Palazzetto Bru Zane releases «Zampa» on Bru Zane Label, a new CD-book dedicated to Ferdinand Hérold’s once immensely popular opéra-comique.

Two further recordings follow on 25 September. Freiburger Barockorchester and Kristian Bezuidenhout release the sixth volume of their Mozart piano concerto series on harmonia mundi. Concerto Copenhagen’s «Queen Christina», released on FugaLibera / Outhere, is the first album in the new series «Tides of Scandinavian Baroque» and explores the cosmopolitan musical world surrounding the Swedish queen.

September also marks the start of a new season for many of the ensembles and institutions we represent. Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège opens with Verdi’s «Macbeth» on 18 September, followed by Concerto Köln at the Festival Alte Musik Knechtsteden on 19 September and La Cetra Basel with «Ispirazione barocca» on 24 September.

We look forward to a month full of festivals, opera, new recordings and the beginning of an inspiring new season.

A sensational concert last night at the new Friedrichsforum Bayreuth: Freiburger Barockorchester with Sir Simon Rattle in outstanding form – and a phenomenal Isabelle Faust - with music by Beethoven, Wagner and Schumann

The tour now continues to Lucerne, Berlin, Bremen, Ravello and finally London for the BBC Proms.

We were delighted to be there for the opening night and incredibly proud to work with artists of this calibre.

50 years of Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik!

This year’s festival marked 50 years of the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik – a special occasion to celebrate the festival’s long-standing dedication to early music and its international artistic profile.

We are looking back at some of the highlights of the anniversary edition – from concerts and performances to the major production of Antonio Cesti’s "Il pomo d’oro".

More than 350 years after its premiere in Innsbruck, Antonio Cesti’s "Il pomo d’oro" was performed there for the first time since its original production, as one of the highlights of this year’s programme.

The album brings together contemporary Finnish works for cello, exploring a wide range of musical perspectives and reflecting Roozeman’s close artistic engagement with the composers.

Almost all works featured on the album are world premiere recordings, including compositions written specifically for Roozeman and premiered by him.
