RelaXimages

RelaXimages Photostock Production Agency We carefully limit distribution to avoid the over-exposure that can dilute a collections impact.

In early 2012 we activated a brand new website to showcase a carefully edited collection of RF & RM stock images, specifically designed to be a creative source of visual inspiration for today’s editorial and advertising media. In contrast to the mass production stock agencies, where numbers are often more important than content, RelaXimages decided to keep things lean and clean, by focusing on qua

lity over quantity, in producing our tightly edited collection of stock photography. From conception to realisation, we devote all our creative energies into utilizing a vast array of photographic styles that result in a broad scope of pictorial solutions. The development of our own online database was a natural solution to the ever increasing demand for our special brand of image solutions. It has allowed us to serve our clients directly and to streamline the distribution of our latest productions throughout our partner network. Instead we work with trusted distributors such as, Corbis, Veer, Plainpicture, DPA, Gettyimages and Masterfile, to provide the very best quality of coverage. Chris Walsh, former Creative Vice President for Jupiter Images Europe, has consistently delivered diverse, high-impact artistic direction through applying a wide range of skills, in-depth knowledge, dedication and 20 years of expertise in the European and International stock photography industry. He has decided to put his invaluable experience into the creation of our specialized stock collections. His ethos has always been to first look inside and then outside the box! Together we visually analyse previously successful images to uncover their constituent parts and understand them. This is especially important when producing images with tried and tested themes. We believe you should first learn the rules before breaking them, only then do you have a real chance at creating truly fresh ideas. RelaXimages are well aware that the market seeks excellence, so our balanced collections are methodically and meticulously planned to respond to the liquidity of modern life and a fast-moving, ever-changing market. With this integral approach in mind, we seek to build each individual client carefully curated solutions with stringent emphasis on quality. We are not a company who mass manufacture bland solutions. We firmly believe in providing a delicate personal touch to each individual project, through careful attention to detail and ensuring that each creative solution has a distinct European ambience and graphic style. Over the years we have often been asked by photographers and agencies for our opinion on the ideal set of images they should produce to be successful in the stock industry. In our opinion there is no such thing as ideal stock content. Our vision is to continually tailor unique, inspirational and au courant visual media towards client needs. We believe in providing you with stunning visuals that your clients can interpret and associate with ease. We invest the time so you don’t have to. If you are involved in advertising, design, publishing or any other creative field and require stylistic commercial images, we will develop even the simplist of ideas and strive to turn them into a dynamic collection of narrative, emotional and atmospheric images. In essence we are the creative that other creatives go to.

I'm working on some images I took with the idea of them being used by publishers for book covers.
This selection was mostly shot in locations around Munich with some from Porto in Portugal.
Using the amazing architecture in museums as a backdrop, ideal places to capture moody atmosphere and the play of light and shade.

FLOWERS

Here is a small selection of the 250+ photos that I've been working on.

The idea was to capture wee moments in time and to mix the mediums of photography and painting.

Well I had to do something in this quiet lockdown period :)

Oktoberfest

In 2018 I started a project to document 100 different nationalities dressed in traditional Bavarian outfits while visiting the Munich Oktoberfest.
Thinking it would be easy to organize, but most people were rather shy.
Perhaps shooting in the morning was the the problem:)
In afterthought an evening shoot would have been better, after they had consumed a couple of the large Mass beers.

As with many events this year, it was cancelled.
Here a selection of the 66 images shot so far, from Brazil to Bulgaria and Singapore to Switzerland.
The bonus as always was meeting, talking to and sharing experience with so many interesting people.

Looking forward to 2021 :)

Three more Portugal shots.
I've never seen so many over weight people proudly showing off their tattoos.
I guess the alcohol helped them loose their inhibitions
The Stag party mile in Albufeira, Martin Parr would love it.
The locals were not impressed.

A pleasing moment in the studio today watching daylight illuminate the high chair I bought at a flea-market last year.
Its amazing how simple daylight can creates a far more emotional effects than all my daft studio lighting.
