Chris Corrado, interdisciplinary graphic designer & artist. Live is short – Live inspired. Hi! I’m Chris Corrado. Interdisciplinary graphic designer & artist.

I see myself as a graphic designer dedicated to the classic old school of discipline. I have a deep admiration for the time when craftsmanship had a high value, the designer and artist was proud of his work. Always with the goal of releasing excellent work into the world. However, I also move fluidly between the disciplines of illustration, user interface design, typography, and music, combining experiences from all areas. I’m a big fan of the 60’s and 70’s design language and express that when the projects allow it. Since 2004 I have been working for a wide range of clients mainly in the fields of TV, music, and culture. My work includes the development of online advertising campaigns for TV stations, development of identities for cultural events and establishments, for start-ups, industrial clients, as well as for non-profit organizations – just to name a few areas. I occasionally work as a freelance art director for agencies and as a university lecturer. I work with a network of highly talented people in the fields of branding, software development, video creation and web design to provide the best solution for each client. Some heroes:
Herb Lubalin, Aaron Draplin, Bruno Munari, Saul Bass, Kim Hiorthøy, Bureau Destruct, Moebius

Currently on my playlist:
Slift, El Michels Affair, Peter Broderick, Motorpsycho, Bibio, Kikagaku Moyo, King Gizzard, Floating Points, Kanaan, Jon Hopkins, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Adriano Celentano, Dungen, Møster

Poster artwork für die JUB – Junge Ulmer Bühne.

Otfried Preusslers Krabat.

JOSO

Jo So are the initials of a fellow musician who wanted to have a logo to put as decal on his self built guitars and amps. For a long time, he considered simply modifying the Zoso (Led Zeppelin) logo. But that would have been too easy and not original enough. So I designed one for him.

Logos! Distilling an identity into a symbol. A magnificent, complex process that ultimately results in a seemingly simple symbol... Here is a small selection of my work from the past few years. And my contribution to the initiative.

Finally back from service and as good as new. My 1976 Roland RE-201 . The service took more than a year actually because of 1 crucial missing part.
