🇩🇪 Die neue HELIO Version 26.1 ist da!

Wir freuen uns ganz besonders, heute das erste Release des Jahres vorzustellen: Mit der neuen Version wird HELIO noch offener, flexibler, sicherer und leistungsstärker:

+ Die neue API öffnet HELIO für Skripte, Anwendungen und KI-Agenten, wodurch Arbeitsabläufe ermöglicht werden, die über die Möglichkeiten der Benutzeroberfläche allein hinausgehen. Die API ist aktuell in der Early Access-Phase, bei Interesse wendet euch an unser Team.

+ Mit 2D Plots gibt es eine neue Form der Datenvisualisierung, mit der Verhältnisse und Muster zwischen unterschiedlichen Datensätzen live dargestellt werden können.

+ Gauges und Radialanzeigen sind jetzt prägnanter, individueller anpassbar und bereit für Design-Systeme

We are really excited to present the first HELIO release of 2026 today: with this new version, HELIO becomes even more open, flexible, secure and powerful:

+ The new API opens up HELIO to scripts, applications and AI agents, enabling workflows that go beyond the capabilities of the user interface alone. The API is currently in the Early Access phase; if you’re interested, please get in touch with our team.

+ 2D plots offer a new form of data visualisation, allowing relationships and patterns between different datasets to be displayed in real time.

+ Gauges and radial bars are now sharper, more customisable and design system-ready.

🇩🇪 Neues User Interface für Maschinen der WAFIOS Umformtechnik GmbH mit HELIO: Im Rahmen der Fachmesse “wire and Tube” 2026 in Düsseldorf präsentierte WAFIOS Umformtechnik sein neues Benutzerinterface für drahtverarbeitende Maschinen mit schneller Übersicht der Anlagenperformance und -effizienz, intuitiver Bedienoberfläche und KI Assistenz.

“Schnell Prototypen zu erstellen und an der echten Maschine auszuprobieren, hat uns voll überzeugt. So konnten wir im Entwicklungsprozess sehr effizient und agil arbeiten. Das HELIO SDK bietet uns die Möglichkeit eigene Erweiterungen und Controls zu entwickeln.” sagt Kaveh Jaberzadeh, Projektverantwortlicher bei WAFIOS Umformtechnik.

WAFIOS Umformtechnik nutzt die Plattform CtrlX mit HELIO aus dem CtrlX Store.

🇬🇧 New user interface for WAFIOS Umformtechnik GmbH machines with HELIO: At the “wire and Tube” 2026 trade fair in Düsseldorf, WAFIOS Umformtechnik presented its new user interface for wire processing machines, featuring a quick overview of system performance and efficiency, an intuitive user interface and AI assistance.

“Being able to create prototypes quickly and test them on the actual machine really won us over. It allowed us to work very efficiently and flexibly throughout the development process. The HELIO SDK gives us the opportunity to develop our own extensions and controls,” says Kaveh Jaberzadeh, project manager at WAFIOS Umformtechnik.

WAFIOS uses the CtrlX platform with HELIO from the CtrlX Store.

🇩🇪 Zum bundesweiten Girls’Day hatten wir in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal Besuch von zwei Schülerinnen aus der achten Klasse, die einen Tag als Software-Entwicklerin erleben konnten.

Das Programm verband kreative und technische Aspekte:

+ gemeinsames Daily
+ Teamarbeit in Figma
+ Gestaltung einer Farbpalette
+ Einblicke in die HELIO Entwicklung
+ Erstellen eines Custom Controls
+ Arbeiten mit der HELIO IDE

Der Girl’sDay gibt Mädchen ab der fünften Klasse Gelegenheit, in Berufe zu schnuppern, die sonst in der Mehrheit von Jungs besetzt werden und wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Familie gefördert. Wir hoffen, es hat euch Spaß gemacht, danke für euren Besuch!

🇬🇧 For this year’s nationwide Girls’ Day, we welcomed two girls from 8th grade for the first time, who had the chance to spend a day in the life of a software developer.

The programme combined creative and technical elements:

+ Insights into the development of HELIO
+ Creating a custom control
+ Working with the HELIO IDE

Girls’ Day gives girls from Year 5 onwards the opportunity to get a taste of careers that are otherwise predominantly occupied by boys, and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Family Affairs. We hope you enjoyed it – thank you for visiting!

🇩🇪 Viele Grüße von der Interpack 2026! Wir waren auf der internationalen Leitmesse für Verpackungstechnologie in Düsseldorf: zwei Tage, vollgepackt mit tollen Gesprächen und spannenden Innovationen. Viele unserer Kunden sind hier mit beeindruckenden Ständen vertreten, in fast jeder Halle findet sich ein User Interface, das wir gestaltet und entwickelt haben. Neben der Bestandskundenpflege hatten wir auch die Gelegenheit, neue interessante Kontakte zu knüpfen.

Die Messe war super organisiert, die Stimmung sehr gut und für uns als Camper gab es zudem noch bestes Wetter mit dazu. Die Entscheidung, mit Fahrrädern anzureisen, war ein echter Gamechanger, um abends nicht erschöpft und mit Plattfüßen am Grill sitzen zu müssen.

Vielen Dank an alle unsere Verpackungskunden, v.a. Kosme Weber Food Technology Coesia, Minebea Intec IWK Verpackungstechnik Schneider Electric Aasted Bosch Rexroth und Meurer die uns sehr nett empfangen und sich extra Zeit für uns genommen haben.

🇬🇧 Greetings from Interpack 2026! Last week, we were at the leading international trade fair for packaging technology in Düsseldorf: two days packed with interesting conversations and exciting innovations. Many of our clients have impressive stands here, and in almost every hall there’s a user interface that we’ve designed and developed. As well as meeting existing clients, we also had the chance to make some interesting new contacts.

The trade fair was superbly organised, the atmosphere was excellent, and for us as campers, the weather couldn’t have been better. The decision to bring our bikes was a real game-changer, ensuring we didn’t end up sitting at the barbecue in the evening exhausted and with sore feet.

Many thanks to all our packaging customers, especially Kosme, Weber, Coesia, Minebea, , Schneier Electric, aasted, bosch Rexroth and Meurer, who gave us such a warm welcome and took the time to meet with us.

🇩🇪 Was für ein Abend! Im Rahmen der iF Design Award Night 2026 durften wir gemeinsam mit unserem Kunden Reifenhäuser die begehrte Trophäe im Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin abholen. Der Event war wie gewohnt ausgezeichnet organisiert, in toller Location und mit einem spannenden Rahmenprogramm, bei dem wir auch Kollegen und alte Freunde treffen konnten.

Für uns ein weiterer Grund zu feiern: im iF Ranking der Kategorie Product Interfaces konnten wir unseren Platz 1 als beste Agentur verteidigen und uns im industrieübergreifenden Ranking von Platz 73 auf Platz 69 verbessern!

🇬🇧 O what a night! At the iF Design Award Night 2026, we had the honour of achieving the trophy alongside our client Reifenhäuser at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin. As always, the event was superbly organised, held in a great location and featuring an exciting programme, where we also had the chance to meet up with colleagues and old friends.

Another reason for us to celebrate: in the iF ranking for the Product Interfaces category, we successfully defended our number 1 spot as the best agency and improved our position in the cross-industry ranking from 73rd to 69th place!

🇩🇪 Damit hatten wir dann doch nicht gerechnet: Unser Projekt EVO OS 3.0 für Reifenhäuser hat nach dem German Design Award, dem DDC Award, der Nominierung für den UX Design Award und dem iF Design Award die insgesamt vierte Auszeichnung erkämpft.

Wir sind sehr stolz auf die Auszeichnungen, denn die internationalen Preise stellen hohe Anforderungen an Designqualität der Projekte. Auch die Nominierung für den UX Design Award ehrt uns sehr, denn die anspruchsvolle Fachjury bewertet die eingereichten Projekte auch nach den konzeptionellen Kriterien Holistic Thinking & User-centric Approach sowie Design & Experience Quality. Als vergleichsweise kleines Designbüro gemeinsam mit großen Playern wie Google, Microsoft und Mitsubishi von der Jury geehrt zu werden, ist eine tolle Wertschätzung.

🇬🇧 We hadn't expected this after all: Our EVO OS 3.0 project for Reifenhäuser has won its fourth award, following the German Design Award, the DDC Award, a nomination for the UX Design Award, and the iF Design Award.

We are really proud as these international competitions set high standards for the design quality of the submitted projects. We are also deeply honored by the nomination for the UX Design Award, as the distinguished expert jury evaluates projects based on conceptual criteria such as Holistic Thinking & User-Centric Approach, as well as Design & Experience Quality. As a relatively small design firm, being honored by the jury alongside major players like Google, Microsoft, and Mitsubishi is a tremendous recognition.

DE Fantastische Neuigkeiten: Unser Projekt EVO OS 3.0 für Reifenhäuser gewinnt nach dem DDC und dem German Design Award nun auch noch den iF Design Award 2026!

Die Jury schreibt: “Sein modulares Designsystem lässt sich auf verschiedene Maschinen und Anwendungen skalieren, stärkt die Markenidentität, reduziert die Einarbeitungszeit und verringert Bedienungsfehler. Es ermöglicht eine nachhaltige und ethische industrielle Produktion.”

Der iF Design Award zeichnet als globales Gütesiegel für exzellentes Design insbesondere Projekte aus, “die Konventionen in Frage stellen, Systeme überdenken und alltägliche Erfahrungen zu etwas Besonderem machen.”

Wir sind sehr stolz und freuen uns gemeinsam mit unserem Kunden Reifenhäuser und dem gesamten Team.

Wir sind zurück von der Preisverleihung des German Design Award in Frankfurt: Inmitten der *World Design Capital*-Atmosphäre wurde unser Projekt für Reifenhäuser, das EVO OS 3.0, ausgezeichnet.

Es war ein top organisiertes Event mit einer beeindruckenden neuen Networking-Area. Ein großes Dankeschön an Alexander Marnett und Till Schirmacher von Reifenhäuser für den schönen gemeinsamen Tag und das großartige Projekt-Teamwork!

Die Veranstaltung war voll, die Stimmung super – wir konnten einige Freunde und Kollegen treffen und eine ordentliche Portion Inspiration (und den Award!) mit nach Hause nehmen.

We are back from the German Design Award ceremony in Frankfurt: Amidst the World Design Capital atmosphere, our project for Reifenhäuser, the EVO OS 3.0, received an award.

It was a superbly organized event with an impressive new networking area. A big thank you to Alexander Marnett and Till Schirmacher from Reifenhäuser for the nice day together and the great project teamwork!

The event was packed, the atmosphere was great—we got to meet some friends and colleagues and took home a good dose of inspiration (and the award!).
