When I first started my business I made every single mistake you could possibly make ✌🏽 😅⠀
⠀
After years of not starting my own business even though I wanted to (which is a mistake itself), I finally took the leap in 2018.⠀
⠀
😵 However, I still made every possible mistake and it took me around 1,5 years to really kickstart my business.⠀
⠀
Let me tell you: these times were hard. ⠀
They consisted of me regularly doubting myself and brainstorming ways of how to get out of a situation I put myself in after taking on work I should've said 'no' to.⠀
⠀
On paper, I was a business owner, but if anything - it felt like my business owned me. I felt stuck. 😫⠀
⠀
Now, don't get me wrong, I also had those moments when I felt like things were finally falling into place - only to fall apart again 2 weeks later.⠀
⠀
I don't want you to experience that!⠀
⠀
So here are my top 3 tips on how to set up your business for success 👇🏾⠀
⠀
⭐ 1. Don't overload yourself with clients.⠀
⠀
YOU are the engine of your business. Therefore it is crucial that there's always enough time and space for you to take care of you.⠀
Also, if you take on too many clients, you won't find the time to actually promote your business and generate new leads and you may not be able to give each client your 111%.⠀
⠀
⭐ 2. Get clear on your boundaries NOW.⠀
⠀
Try to avoid getting into the situation where you only realize your own boundaries when you feel like they have been crossed. ⠀
Get clear on what you want in your business and what you don't want. If you don't know your boundaries, you can't communicate them and therefore naturally, people will cross them (even if it is without any bad intention).⠀
⠀
⠀
⭐ 3. Keep your finances in order.⠀
⠀
I don't care how new you are to business. Keep an eye on your income and expenses. Make sure you always have enough money on the side for taxes. Check which things you are paying for that you don't really need.⠀
This may feel unsexy (and at times frustrating when you realize you are far from hitting your income goals), but it can actually give you peace of mind so you can focus on other things in your business.⠀

Which one of these do you need to focus on more?
