I analyzed 4591 urls submitted to https://primeindexer.com for canonicals, and the impact on indexing.

The data is clear. If you dont have a canonical on your page, it will impact the chance of indexing that page.

Canonical present: 84.71% indexing rate
Canonical missing: 36.00% indexing rate

Conclusion: Make sure to include the canonical. Most Wordpress installations does this by default especially if you have some sort of SEO plugin, but its a shame to forget this, and have your blogposts not indexed because of it...

Im updating the DATA reports in schemawriter

Check the screenshot. I dont know how many of you that are actually using the Data reports. We are currently working on expanding this a bit, to include more information with regards to ranking factors.

As you can see in the screenshot, we allready improved the layout, so its much easier to see entity numbers, Word count etc....
We are working on more features like entity density, YAKE density etc, which will make it more clear if entities or YAKE keywords actually matter.

Right now, we measure how many entities the pages we scrape has. But as the amount of entities seems to go up, if the text is longer, its not really super clear how large of a ranking factor they really are.

That should be clearer when we finish with the density calculations..

I will be back with more updates the coming days...

I didnt talk too much about this, but we updated the Wordpress plugin.

The latest version includes autoupdate. That means you no longer have to download the zip file.

It also includes schema removal. In Wordpress you can select what schema you want to remove from themes or plugins.

Plugin schema is a major pain, but thats solved now, for the most common themes/plugins....

Its a bit annoying to download the zip file each time we update the plugin. Thats going to be resolved in the new version.
Its also very annoying to have to ask your developer to help remove schema from various plugins.

We are now fixing these issues with the coming version of the schemawriter plugin, check the screenshot. We identified the way the most common plugins create schema, and we now remove this automatically.

Also coming: A 100% free version of the schemawriter plugin. So even if you dont use schemawriter as a paid costumer, you will be able to manage your websites advanced node interlinked schema directly from Wordpress backend..

Update to the schemawriter plugin

We updated the plugin. You now need to insert the url to the website in the plugin tab. This makes it more transparent what the url is.

We also upgraded the plugin, so it now push organization and localbusiness schema into all new pages and posts you create.

The plugin automatically push stacked and nested organization and localbusiness schema to all pages.
