BIG news: Studio Molbech is temporarily relocating to Helsinki!

Since I started my illustration business I have been based out of small comfy Aarhus, Denmark, but now an adventure awaits my family and I in the cool mysterious north🤩

This decision means a hold on my teaching, but also that I can allow myself to focus 100% on my illustration business, hooray🥳
Since this will depend on remote freelancing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you, or someone in your network have use of my skills! Whether it be editorial, book design, brand illustration, surface design or anything related to drawing I would love to hear from you🙏

Now drawing on windows🖌😃
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of illustrating the themes of a local 🌱sustainability🪴 festival called Grønne Uger on a glass cube in the city centre of Horsens.
With some thorough prep 🧠for what to draw and armed with a bag full of Posca markers ✍️I ventured into a fairy unknown territory: spatial illustration.
It was an AMAZING two days with lots of kind and curious interactions from people passing by, and beautiful weather. I was quite nervous as I have close to zero experience with Posca markers, even less on glass, but my generally decent drawing skills and the challenge of making my drawings transparent, yet eye catching was so much fun, and I felt a HUGE rush from drawing in such a big space in front of people, raw and unedited. Thank you Mærk Byen and Katrine for inviting me in🙏 What a wonderful initiative!

Hvis jeg har været lidt stille på kanalerne de seneste måneder så skyldes det bl.a. en meget travl periode for et af mine andre “ben” i mit kreative virke:
Nemlig undervisning af børn,unge og voksne på intet mindre end 7 forskellige kreative skoler gennem tiden.
Det er en vigtig del af mit virke som illustrator at kunne give min viden videre til andre, og jeg elsker at lære fra mig og se mine elevers eksperimenter blive til ofte virkelig flotte resultater, kulminere i udstillinger, udgivelser og ikke mindst kunstnerisk og personlig udvikling🤩
På den personlige front får jeg tilmed indblik i hvad jeg selv laver på en helt ny måde ved at skulle formidle det videre på så mange niveauer, og det motiverer mig i høj grad til at dyrke min egen illustrationspraksis🖌👌
Så hvis du står og mangler en underviser i tegning, design, kunst og næsten alt derimellem, så tøv endelig ikke med at tage kontakt og vi kan sammenstykke lige netop hvad i har behov for at få indblik i🤓💡🤲

Denne uge kunne ikke slutte på bedre manér: Er nu officielt støttet af Statens Kunstfond! 🤩Jeg er så taknemmelig for at de eksisterer, anerkender og skaber grobund for talentfulde kunstnere og designere og forfattere i Danmark - Stort tillykke til de 178 der også får støtte i år🧡
