The AI bullet train is rolling and we can’t stop it. AI will change our ways of living in ways we can’t imagine - and it will have massive consequences - some good, some pretty terrifying if used by the wrong people in the wrong way.
Three important key take outs from today’s sessions at SXSW in Austin are:
🤯In the world of AI, speed to market is winning over accountability. We need to hold producers of AI - and the AI platform - accountable, and this has to come from governments.
🤯But governments and leaders act in fear, because they basically don’t understand what is happening and what consequences AI will have. They need to establish a “department of transition”, which can help prepare us for what’s coming - but also hold AI accountable when they break the law.
👆Marketers and agencies also need to navigate in the world of computer generated content. While AI is proving useful, there’s also a request from audience to make things more human and authentic. And we need to hold our ethical standards high.
We are looking forward to more inspiring sessions tomorrow. Among them, our very own Margrethe Vestager, and we hope that she can provide insightful thoughts on the above topic from a political point of view.
