Thinking about hiring an Amazon agency? Before you sign anything, ask these questions.

Too many brands pay for months of ""optimization"" without knowing what's actually being done or why. A good agency should have a clear plan from day one, not vague promises about testing and scaling.
Ask them: What specific problem do you see in my account right now? How do you diagnose low sales — is it traffic, clicks, or conversions? What does your first 30 days look like in detail? Can you show me a real P&L or break-even forecast for my brand? How do you decide when to scale ad spend? What's your process when something isn't working? How do you handle ranking and external traffic? What does success look like after 3 months? How often will we talk, and what will you report? Have you worked with a brand in my category before?

If they can't answer these clearly, keep looking. Save this before your next agency call.

Before you pick a platform, make sure your product is actually ready to sell.
A lot of brands jump straight into ads or chase new channels before fixing the basics — the message, the images, the offer. If your conversion rate is low, more traffic will not fix it. Better positioning will.

This is especially relevant now that more sellers are asking whether TikTok Shop or Amazon is the right move. The answer usually starts not with the platform, but with how well your product speaks to the right buyer.
