Amazon is reportedly limiting some users to viewing only eight product reviews on a listing. Reports connect this to the company's efforts to stop AI bots from pulling review content at scale.

For sellers, the signal matters more than the number. Review data is becoming harder to access from the outside, so any research process that depends on scraping or bulk review pulls will get less reliable over time.

What stays reliable is first-party data: your own Amazon reports, customer feedback, and the issues buyers keep repeating in reviews. That is also what actually tells you how to improve the product and the listing.

More than 300,000 small businesses in the UK now sell on TikTok Shop. That number tells you a lot about where online shopping is heading.

Social commerce is no longer a side experiment. TikTok Shop works on discovery — people find products through content and creators. Amazon works on intent — people arrive already knowing what they want.

For most e-commerce brands, the real question is not which platform to pick. It is understanding what each channel does well and building a multi-channel strategy around that.

We broke down what this milestone means for brands here: https://www.innels.com/blog/300-000-uk-small-businesses-join-tiktok-shop-what-it-means-for-e-commerce-brands?utm_source=meta&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=news1_aug5

Amazon PPC changed in two places this month, and neither one is a CPC increase.

From August 1, a group of advertisers moves off credit card payment for Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display. The default becomes deduction from the account balance, while Pay by Invoice with 30 day terms stays available for sellers who choose it before the deadline.

At the same time, Sponsored Prompts inside Alexa for Shopping are now a billable placement, and they favour listings that answer real shopper questions instead of matching one exact keyword.

Both shifts land right before Q4 budget planning. Most brands treat Amazon as a place where regular shoppers buy one item at a time. But Amazon Business has now reached $60 billion in annualized sales and serves more than 11 million organizations worldwide.

That is a different type of buyer. Offices, schools, clinics and workshops order in larger quantities, repeat their orders, and care about pricing, stock and clear product specifications more than a one-time discount.

Our new article explains what the milestone means for sellers and what you should review before you treat Amazon Business as a real sales channel.

Big sales numbers on Amazon can still mean you're losing money.

That came up in my conversation with Harshank Vyas. He pointed out something uncomfortable about agencies that get paid a percentage of ad spend. If your fee grows when the spend grows, why would you ever cut the wasted budget?

I agreed with him on another point too. It's easy to overpromise to close a client. We would rather tell someone that their niche has very high CPC, or that growth will need real investment, than sell them a story that falls apart in three months.

Most brands don't leave their Amazon agency because of pricing.

We reviewed a lot of client calls recently, and the pattern was clear. Brands that switched agencies rarely mentioned cost or performance. They talked about being handed from one account manager to the next until nobody knew their business anymore.

In this conversation, Mark and Harshank Vyas discuss how account ownership actually works when you manage hundreds of brands, and why compliance and account reinstatements remain the hardest part of selling on Amazon Europe.

Worth a watch if you manage an Amazon account across several marketplaces: https://www.innels.com/blog/scaling-amazon-across-7-marketplaces-what-breaks----and-the-eu-compliance-blind-spot-most-brands-miss?utm_source=meta&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=interview_harshankvyas&utm_content=reel1

Amazon changed the rules for supplements this year, and not every seller has caught up yet. cGMP certification now has to come from an Amazon-approved provider, ingredient weights need to match the Supplement Facts Panel exactly, and the FDA disclaimer still has to be there wherever a benefit is mentioned.

None of this is a side task anymore. Amazon treats compliance as part of the ranking system, so a listing that skips these steps can lose visibility even with great keywords and reviews.

OpenAI is reportedly expanding ChatGPT advertising into France, Germany, and Ireland. For e-commerce brands, this is another sign that product discovery is moving beyond search engines and marketplaces into AI conversations.
Europe remains one of the largest e-commerce markets in the world, and brands here are already competing for visibility across Amazon, Google, and social media. Conversational AI is quickly becoming part of that same competition.
The brands most likely to benefit are the ones with structured product data, accurate attributes, and strong content, since that is what AI systems rely on to make recommendations.

We break this down in our latest Amazon Seller News update: innels.com/blog/openai-expands-chatgpt-ads-across-europe-what-it-means-for-e-commerce-brands-amazon-seller-news

$20,000 spent on ads. $2,000 back in sales. That's a real story a brand shared with us — and it's more common than it should be.
The problem usually isn't the budget. It's the lack of visibility into what the agency is actually doing.
At INNELS, every client gets a shared Slack channel with the full team, a ClickUp board to track tasks and priorities, and an account manager who earns commission based on your KPIs — not just a flat salary.
You stay informed. Your team stays motivated. That's how it should work.
