The Kick-Start Program is part of a national initiative launched by Algeria Venture, the state-owned startup accelerator, and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups. Operated by Leancubator, this 12-month incubation program is designed to support and empower labelled innovative project holders in transforming their projects into scalable and sustainable startups.

🚨 What if Algeria's biggest cybersecurity market was just created by a presidential decree?

With Presidential Decree No. 26-07, every public administration and institution is now required to establish a dedicated cybersecurity unit. This new regulatory framework could unlock significant opportunities for startups, technology companies, and cybersecurity professionals.

🚨 Et si le plus grand marché de la cybersécurité en Algérie venait d'être créé par un décret ?

Avec le décret présidentiel n°26-07, chaque administration et établissement public est désormais tenu de mettre en place une structure dédiée à la sécurité de ses systèmes d'information. Une évolution réglementaire qui pourrait ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives pour les startups, les entreprises technologiques et les experts en cybersécurité.

Presidential Decree No. 26-07 doesn't merely express an intention to secure public administration. It establishes a legal obligation, complete with a timeline and clearly designated responsibilities. For cybersecurity startups, opportunities are rarely this explicit.

🚀 Founders & Investors Day: Connecting Innovation with Investment

On Wednesday, June 10, Leancubator hosted the session of Founders & Investors Day at its headquarters, bringing together promising startups and key players from Algeria’s investment ecosystem for an afternoon of pitching, feedback, and networking.

The event brought together key stakeholders from the investment ecosystem who engaged directly with founders throughout the pitching sessions and discussions.

Nine (09) startups took the stage to present their solutions: CYBERORB, AIRCROP, TerralivTech (filahatech .dz) , Tahwissa, cleantrackdz, Woven ewool, Mindcare, Voltagaz, and SPASU MARTECE. Providing an opportunity to discuss their business models, market traction, growth plans, and funding needs.

The exchanges allowed founders to gain valuable feedback from experienced investors, refine their fundraising approach, and explore potential avenues for collaboration. At the same time, investors had the opportunity to discover innovative projects addressing challenges across various sectors and to engage with entrepreneurs shaping the future of Algeria’s startup ecosystem.

The event concluded with a networking session fostering new connections and encouraging future partnerships between startups, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.
