Injured Palestinian resistance fighter prostrating to God just moments before his martyrdom. I couldn't help but reflect on a verse from the Qur'an:
﴿مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ رِجالٌ صَدَقوا ما عاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيهِ فَمِنهُم مَن قَضى نَحبَهُ وَمِنهُم مَن يَنتَظِرُ وَما بَدَّلوا تَبديلًا﴾ [الأحزاب:٢٣]
These are the kind of men whom God praises throughout the Qur'an. Every step he took in his life led him to that moment—to remember God—and for this reason, God will be with him.
May God bless his soul.

﴿اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ﴾ [البقرة:٢٥٧]
‏"Allah is the Protector of those who believe. He brings them out of the depths of darkness into the light."

إلجأ إلى الله وافتقر إلى الله وفوض أمرك إليه كي يتولّى أمرك ويُخرجك مِن الظُلمات إلى النور

خروجك من ظلمات قلبك إلى نور هدايته،
خروجك من ظلمات عقلك إلى نور بصيرته،
خروجك من حولك وقوّتك إلى حول ربك وقوّته
خروجٌ من ظلمات الأرض إلى أنوار السماء، ومن ضيق حيلتك إلى حُسن تدبيره

فاللهم هداية وطمأنينة ونور.💛

The only tool one can fight all the hardships and afflictions of this world from. Anything is possible if you are patient.
عندما يحيط بك البلاء تذكر دعاء سحرة فرعون بعد إيمانهم بالله وكفرهم بفرعون وتهديده لهم بالتقطيع والصلب
"قالوا إنا إلى ربنا منقلبون"
اليقين باننا راجعون لله وان عذاب الله هو الاشد من عذابك فلنصبرن اليوم على عذابك لننجو من عذاب الله يوم القيامة.
ربنا أَفِضْ علينا صبرًا عظيمًا وثباتا عليه، وتوفَّنا منقادين لأمرك متبعين رسولك.
فسبحان من قذف في قلوبهم هذا الإيمان،
فكانوا أول النهار سحرة فجرة، وكانوا في آخره شهداء بررة.
May Allah grant us patience that we may endure all this suffering that we feel. May Allah grant us patience that we might become stronger believers.
‏﴿رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ﴾ [الأعراف:١٢٦]

life is a bridge, cross over it, but build no house on it
عن ابن عُمَرَ رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمنْكبيَّ فقال:
(كُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَأَنَّكَ غَرِيْبٌ أَوْ عَابِرُ سَبِيْلٍ)
وكان ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا يَقُوْلُ:
"إِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ فَلا تَنْتَظِرِ الصَّبَاحَ، وَإِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ فَلا تَنْتَظِرِ المَسَاءَ. وَخُذْ مِنْ صِحَّتِكَ لِمَرَضِكَ، وَمِنْ حَيَاتِكَ لمَوْتِكَ" [رواه البخاري].
This is one of the most beautiful hadith, because it explains to us so profoundly, how the believer must not take this life as a homeland or permanent residence, his heart being tranquil and resting assured within it. Rather, he must be in it as if he was on a journey, preparing himself to depart.

﴿لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا﴾ [البقرة:٢٨٦]
Allah comforts us by reassuring us that no matter what obstacles we come across, they are never more than what we can handle. Allah tests the believer according to his or her capacity, and He always wants the best for us. It may not seem like it at the time but if we stand firm on the right path, Allah will get us through it.
استعن بالله ولا تعجز ، فإن الله إذا كلّف أعان
فلا تنظر لثقَل التكليف والحِمل ، وانظر لقدرة المُعين ..

It’s good to build bridges of intimacy and kindness between us, provided that keeping distance is quite important to preserve relations for good and to protect our hearts from getting hurt.
‎عن أبو هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول اللهﷺ قال:
« أحبِبْ حبيبَكَ هَوْنًا ما، عَسى أن يَكونَ بغيضَك يومًا ما وأبغِض بغيضَك هَونًا مَا، عسى أن يَكونَ حَبيبَكَ يومًا ما»
We should not go to extremes either at establishing relations telling our friends all our secrets or at the time of disconnection, burning all bridges.
So keep your integrity.

‏﴿كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ ۩﴾ [العلق:١٩]

إذا أجنك الظلام ، وآنست نوراً .. فأقبل ولاتخف ، واسجد، واقترب .. فكلما تذللت لله وابتعدت من الكبرياء، قربت من جنته ودنوت من جواره في داره.

قال رسول الله (ﷺ) : أقرب ما يكون العبد من ربه، وأحبه إليه، جبهته في الأرض ساجداً لله.“

The closer you try to get to the Almighty, the harder Satan will work to steer you away. His mission is to create confusion, fear; anxiety & panic over things you can't control. It’s all part of his plan. You need to be aware. Don’t let your guard down; not even for a second!

اللهم اجعله عاماً لا يضيق لنا فيه صدر، ولا يخيب لنا فيه أمر، ولا يرد لنا فيه دعاء، واحفظ لنا من نحب، وبشرنا بما يسر وحقق لنا ما نتمنى‏، اللهم أغفر لنا ما مضى وأصلح لنا ما بقى، اللهم إنا نسألك خير هذا العام المقبل، يمنه ويسره، وأمنه وسلامته، ونوره وبركاته.

ادع الله لوالديك بالرحمة ، وقل رب ارحمهما ، وتعطف عليهما بمغفرتك ورحمتك ، كما تعطفا علي في صغري ، فرحماني وربياني صغيرا ، حتى استقللت بنفسي ، واستغنيت عنهما .

Past and Present. Wherever they are, whatever they are doing, may Allah keep all our parents so safe & away from harm. As children, we owe our parents so much. May Allah grant us the patience to deal patiently with them in their old age as they dealt patiently with us when we were small and young. May Allah always bless them and reward them for loving and protecting us. May Allah grant them Jannah. Ameen.
