Clinical Laboratory Specialist is needed to perform all basic and advanced clinical laboratory procedures in two Andrology clinics (e.g. Virology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, semen analysis, reproductive hormone testing, andrology testing and therapeutic procedures.) by standard operating policies and procedures. The specialist should understand method principles, perform quality control, perform preventative maintenance, and analyzes results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits.
The specialist should work independently in consultation and under the guidance of the Medical Director and supervisory personnel, organizing work to meet established deadlines and records all data obtained. The candidate needs to strictly follow the laboratory’s policy and procedure. Attention to detail, good documentation practice, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of the team are essential.
Role and responsibilities
- Performing and reporting various analyses and collecting samples from multiple specimen sources.
- Performing clinical laboratory procedures in Virology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, semen analysis, reproductive hormone testing, andrology testing and therapeutic procedures.
- Assembling, disassembling and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Performing duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrating good organizational skills and effective communication skills
Qualifications
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related science such as Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry.
2. Two years of experience in the appropriate specialty required.
3. Familiarity with computer laboratory programs and Microsoft Office is required.
