Here's what they don't see — the years of learning, the expensive software, the late nights studying design principles, the failed drafts before the good one. Design is not a hobby we do between naps. It is a profession. A skill. A craft that deserves to be paid like one.
You don't ask a doctor to treat you for free because it'll "look good on their CV."
You don't ask a lawyer to write your contract for free for the "experience."
So please — pay your designers. 🎨
