So happy to finally present this project. I developed the logo and visual design system for Otto Mas podcast “Grandes Maricas de la Historia” (Great Qu**rs in History)” also available in the spanish TV RTVE.
As a gay man, this project feels particularly close to me. It is about bringing q***r voices back into history, making them visible, and celebrating the people who challenged the norms of their time. And perhaps now more than ever, when our rights are once again being questioned in many places, it feels important to remember where we come from, protect our history, and stand together with the voices of our community.
From a design perspective, I created a editorial identity built around typography. The logo system combines condensed lettering with expressive calligraphic forms, creating a contrast between the historical and the contemporary. I also developed a bilingual visual system that allows the Spanish and English versions to work as two expressions of the same identity, supported by a distinctive magenta and cream colour palette and a tactile, vintage-inspired graphic language — a project about history, identity and visibility.
