A poster homage to the late and great German/Swiss graphic designer Wolfgang Weingart, the "father" of New Wave / Swiss Punk Typography. My research on him is embedded throughout via type as texture, a design choice I made to express his experimental approach to design and typography. Designing through his lens inspired a more "painterly" mindset when it came to composition and use of design elements.

The Art of Dogs T-shirt design for Fetching Pet Company FKA Unleashed. The owner wanted a personalized touch, which I incorporated with the business's coordinates on front and her handwriting on back. Yet she didn't want it overly branded to allow the shirt to stand alone as stylish apparel for her employees, clients, and beyond.

Textures I made from photos I took on my trip to Barcelona, Spain last year. Barcelona's streets are saturated with a collage of graffiti, flyers, and stickers that have a certain chaotic charm I couldn't help but document. A few of these photos captured an interesting dichotomy of the Gothic Quarter's medieval architecture juxtaposed by taggings of the modern day.

Hey world! My name's Grant and I'm launching my full-time graphic design business, Creator's Maker. I got my BFA in Graphic Design at SIUE in 2018 and have been freelance designing part-time since 2014 while working corporate design positions. I worked up the corporate ladder to Art Director, then decided it was time for a change. As part of my transition to full-time freelance, I've since rebranded and refined my focus. I offer logo and branding packages as well as packages specific to bands/music artists (my passion next in line to art and design). Creator's Maker represents my desire to not only provide design services for clients and creatives, but also provide design resources for other graphic designers as well (texture packs, icon sets, stock images, and templates for designers coming soon).
