Ugh.... lesson learned I guess!

I wanted to to post this AWESOME testimonial video by the wonderful Inge Hol coaching but as I'd included a link in buffer rather that the video all it posted was a photo. Not even a particularly nice photo of her... Sorry Inge!

One of the questions I like to ask coaches is “Where do you get your coaching clients from?” and one of the most frequent responses I get is from referrals.

Calm down. Listen. I'm not a crazy person.....

There are so many different social media platforms out there (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, etc.)..... Which ones do we use? How many to use?

My advice is to pick ONE!

If you're starting out with social media, then just pick the social media that your target client is most likely to hang out on.

If you're like me and you've got a couple, then pick one to be your MAIN social.

Create content with that platform in mind.

After that use the content and also post it on any other platforms you use.

This way:
👍 You only create once
👍 Focus your energy and strategy to one
👍 Quickly get content onto other platforms also without much extra effort.

As of July 2022 a whopping 59% of the world now use social media. That's a 4.7 billion people! What percentage of those people are your ideal client?

As a coach you need to make the most of social media to get the word out about your coaching services.

Most coaches have at least dabbled in social media marketing, and lot's have been posting for years unsuccessfully.

Do you find any of the following challenges with social media marketing:

So you've got your coaching website up and running. All you need is for people to actually go to your website and you know you'll be able to convert them into clients.

But how do you drive your ideal client there?

First thing anyone is going to tell you is to market yourself of social media. With over half the world spending an average of 2 hours 24 minutes a day on social media they wouldn't be wrong!

✔️When done right, posting regular helpful content can be a great way to market your coaching business.
❌When done wrongly, social media marketing can eat up loads of time, be very frustrating, and lead you nowhere.

❌ Have enough clients........... Not so much.

You might be all over social media, but what do most people do when they're actually serious about buying? They go onto a website to see if it's the real deal.

If you don't have a website, or it's a DIY job, then you are literally making it as hard as possible for you to sign up clients!

An awesome website is a must these days.

I would absolutely not trust a solo entrepreneurial business that didn't have a website.

If I wanted coaching, consulting, copywriting, or whatever service the first thing I would do is check out your website.

If all you had was a social media presence then I would just think you're either an amateur or an imposter.

I say this because that's exactly what I felt when I myself went through the journey to find a coach.

Would you trust someone with just social media?

Why are you using Linktree? 🤔

Apps like linktree are helpful for social media, especially Instagram, so you can have a concise place to send people. Why is this bad?

Because social media is a great place to gain traffic to your website ⚡️

So why not create your own social portal page on your website and benefit from the action your socials are generating?!

It also will fit in with your branding so much better!
