#48 Revson vs Fabi

Teo Fabi’s helmet bore a striking resemblance to the one made famous by Peter Revson, although adapted to the colors of the Italian flag. Both shared the same longitudinal stripe pattern, a similarity that is difficult to attribute to coincidence. Although no statement from Fabi himself has ever been found confirming that it was intended as a tribute to the American driver, who died at Kyalami in 1974, the timing and the design strongly suggest that it was inspired by Revson. Fabi retained this livery for much of his career with Brabham, Toleman and Benetton.

In 1986, the collaboration between Emporio Armani and Brabham began, resulting in one of the most elegant liveries in Formula 1 during the eighties. Set against the dark blue BMW engine cover, the Italian fashion brand logo was discreetly integrated into the exceptionally low bodywork of the innovative Brabham BT55, creating a clean, refined graphic composition that enhanced the car's sleek aerodynamic lines. It was a remarkable example of how three design disciplines—graphic, industrial and fashion design—could come together to create a sophisticated visual identity that extends from the racing car itself to the race suits worn by the drivers, mechanics and engineers.

#46 “Scottish Blue”

The Rob Walker Racing Team was the most successful private team in Formula One history. Founded in 1953, it claimed nine Grand Prix victories with drivers such as Stirling Moss, Jo Bonnier and Jo Siffert, using Cooper, Lotus and Brabham chassis. Beyond its sporting achievements, the team's greatest legacy was its distinctive visual identity. Rather than adopting the traditional British Racing Green used by BRM, Cooper and Lotus, Rob Walker chose Scotland's national racing colours: a deep Scottish Blue complemented by a white transverse band inspired by the white cross of the Scottish flag, the Saltire (St Andrew's Cross).

#45 Embassy Racing With Graham Hill
Embassy Hill Racing Team was the Formula One team founded by Graham Hill, two-time World Champion and the only driver in history to have achieved motorsport's Triple Crown. Active in Formula One from 1973 to 1975, the team made its debut with a Shadow DN1 purchased from Don Nichols, later campaigned Lola chassis, and eventually developed its own GH1 and GH2 cars. Its elegant white livery, distinguished by a classic, minimalist red longitudinal stripe, is regarded as one of the most iconic designs of the 1970s. The project came to a tragic end following the plane crash that claimed the lives of Graham Hill and several team members in November 1975.

In 1969, Heuer played a pioneering role in Formula 1 by becoming the first non‑motorsport brand to sponsor a single‑seater —the Lotus 49— through a driver, Jo Siffert, at the South African Grand Prix. That same year, the company launched its automatic chronographs and, from 1971 onwards, strengthened its relationship with Ferrari by supplying Centigraph electronic timing systems. As part of the agreement, the red irregular pentagon of the Heuer logo appeared on Ferrari cars and on the drivers’ suits. The collaboration reached its peak in 1975 with Ferrari and Niki Lauda winning both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships, a success the brand celebrated a year later with the release of the iconic Monza chronograph… … will continue with TAG.

#43 “No tan modernos” / “Not So Modern”

We like to think of ourselves as very modern, but as early as the beginning of the 1970s, Firestone was already running Formula 1 advertisements featuring slogans inspired by the local customs and culture of the venues hosting each Grand Prix. One example was “Drinks Around Montjuïc.” These were simple black-and-white advertisements, yet they had a remarkably strong visual impact. Later, Goodyear joined the trend with campaigns such as “Goodyear Broke the Bank in Monte Carlo.” Today, we have inherited the same formula with slogans like “From Madring to Heaven,” used for the poster of the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix.
