Really interesting read here which is very relevant to share from the Costa del Sol in August.

It encourages us to stop trying to live like a local when we travel and rather embrace being a tourist and use the infrastructure created for us, rather than staying in residential districts and causing the residents problems!

𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 – 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗮 (𝟳-𝟭𝟲 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁)

One of the wonderful things about living in Spain is the food! If you love Spanish “𝘫𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯” as much as we do, don’t miss the ham festival in Estepona, which starts today. Every evening for over a week, you can find the best ham producers and ham cutters all along the paseo, serving thousands of plates of delicious ham and other Iberian products, along with free concerts and a fantastic atmosphere. The stalls open from 7pm until 2am, and the concerts start at 11.30pm.

This time of year, when the mercury continues to rise and the tourists flock to our sunny shores, the construction industry needs to make changes to protect workers, safeguard their health and encourage good working conditions.

During the hottest part of the summer, most construction sites work on a reduced schedule, starting and finishing early, to avoid the hottest part of the day. In Andalucía, it is usual to have an 8am-3pm or 8.30am to 3.30pm working day for construction workers to protect them from extreme temperatures.
