Aaaaaaarancini! What do you know about these delectable and delizioso snacks - one of our own personal favourites?!
Enjoyed principally as a street food but now found in many places as one of many 𝘤𝘪𝘤𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪 (Italian snacks enjoyed with drinks), arancini originated in Sicily - thanks to its Arabic influence many centuries ago - supposedly as a fantastico way to use up any left over risotto, but these days, they are just as likely to be produced in their own right.
Traditionally stuffed with a meat ragù and mozzarella, it's even possible to find arancini with all kinds of fillings if you know where to look, and in different sizes, too.
We're paired our large classic 𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘰 with a tomato and burrata sauce, to make a wonderful small plate for lunch, or as a snack.
Or, you can always do as we do, and enjoy it as an aperitivo washed down with a spritz or two.
